Review summary

We had a good time, good weather and made lots of good friends. I'd do this cruise again and would like to see other ports of call. However, upon arrival at home, my luggage was damaged beyond repair and this did not make we happy at all.!!!!!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We had no difficulties on our embarkation date. The rented scooter was in our cabin when we arrived and we were taken to one of the buffett's to wait and have a bite to eat.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The specialty restaurants were great as was the buffets. The food was very good and always plentiful. The main dining room had some issues and it took too long to get some of the meals that we had. Getting coffee with dessert was the hardest and when we got it, it was not always hot but luke warm at best.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The most activity we attended onboard was Bingo. It was great and fun.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
We were disappointed with the Room steward. He didn't seem to understand how important it is to be aware of the little things. We were onboard several nights before we received any of the pillow candies and we had to ask for Kleenex. It would seem that he would lay our robes out on the bed, however, all he did was throw them in a heap at the end of the bed once it was made. We didn't have a "Privacy Tag" to place on the door and when we asked for one, he said "it's on the door knob on the inside" It it was there, we would not have asked for it! The waiters in the main dining room were okay, but we needed to either have less tables to attend to or more helpers. Often times, we waited a long time to get our main meal and again, had to ask for our coffee several times when we got our desserts.

Cabin / Stateroom

Since we had a handicap room, we had plenty of room. It was nice and more often clean than not. The only issue is plugs. We could not plug in the scooter each night, as required, and our phones. There were not sufficient outlets to do so.

Ship tip

Figure out the layout as soon as possible. It will help in the long run.

Ports of call

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Fantastic. We went on the Juneau Foodie Walking Tour. We had a very attentive guide and enjoyed it tremendously. This is a tour that I would recommend to anyone going to Juneau. We walked around the port some and it was also very pleasant.

Skagway, Alaska

This was also fantastic. We went on the Ghosts & Goodtime Girls Walking Tour. This was so fantastic and the guide we had was so informative and gave us insights into the type of life a women would have experienced. She should get some type of recognition for how outstanding she was. Would highly recommend this to all who go to Skagway.

Cruise Glacier Bay

Enjoyed the sights from our balcony and listened to the rangers from our TV in our room. Very good.

Ketchikan, Alaska

It looks like a nice port, but stayed on board for a spa day. It was rainy and it's too hard to get a scooter around town and off the boat.

Victoria, British Columbia

It was too short a stop-over and it was raining. Not easy to get a scooter on and off the boat and not at all on a bus. Did not get off the boat.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
It was okay, but again, it was raining and we were taken in the rain most of the way to the Bus. But the process was easy.
