Review summary

Had a great time. It went really fast. It rained most days but that did not ruin any of our plans. It would be nice if more restaurant were open for breakfast. I would definitely like to do another one.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The buffets could have been hotter and explained what some of the food was and what was in it as far as spices and ingredients.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Saw a musical, could have lasted longer. Games like truth or dare, name that tune. All were very enjoyable.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Only saw a musical, it was very enjoyable.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone went above what was expected. Anything we asked for was taken care of immediately. Everyone was always friendly and respectful and always smiling and spoke.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Confusing at times getting to level 6. Having to go up to 7 then walk to the other end of ship then back down to 6 was annoying. Everything was always clean and in good shape.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The room was always cleaned good, Donalde did an awesome job. The room was crowded so we asked to have the chair removed and that was done for us.

Ship tip

Get a balcony so you can see everything going on outside, I think it would get clostophobic in an inside cabin. It was nice seeing things as they were happening.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

We went to Pike's Market which was great. There was a lot of walking involved. We went to ride the space needle. We should have checked into that better about price(expensive) and the wait(would have been 2 hours) so we did not do this.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Went whale watching and salmon bake, AWESOME.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
Train ride and Sled Dog camp. Enjoyed both very much. It would have been fun if there was snow but that couldn't be helped.

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
Didn't get off ship but they took a lot of time for us to see the glacier.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Would have liked to have more time in this port. By the time we did the lumberjack show and crab bake there wasn't enough time to do much shopping. Cute town.

Victoria, British Columbia Did not visit port

Not in port very long and we would have hade to get transportation into town.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
It went very smooth for all the people that had to get off in a short period of time.

Great tip about removing the chair. A balcony is great but if you really want to see what's going on you need to go to the deck so you can move around to where the sites are at in the front, back, either side. A balcony only shows what happens to be right in front of it. And when you close your eyes at night you can't tell what kind of room you are in. 😉

Thanks for your great review. It sounds like you had a wonderful trip even if it did rain. Good to hear you didn't let the weather spoil your trip. The fresh Alaskan salmon and crab sounds wonderful
