If you are an early riser, only the Explorations Cafe is open for early muffins and beverages. The high price of the beverage packages mean that they no longer offer that much value - for the average drinker.

Take a lot of patience with you if you plan on eating in the dining room. I also hope they have more daytime activities. No line dancing no barbecue at the pool both of which we missed that has been on every cruise we have taken within the past recent years

Order in room coffee when you awake, it will be there quickly. Upgrade your dining and make reservations for all meals, especially if you prefer to not share a table. Spend time in the Crow's Nest bar for great views.

ATTEND THE MICROSOFT PRESENTATIONS IF THEY ARE AVAILABLE. HOLLAND LINE IS THE ONLY LINE THAT HAS THEM AND THEY ARE FREE.

Take binoculars (we forgot ours). And don't put up with bumps in the night. It could be a door of adjacent cabin bathroom swinging unlatched.

For those travelling in wheelchairs, get a room near an elevator. The carpets are thick and plush (which is normally a good thing) and can be tough to navigate in a chair.

The Oosterdam is a very nice ship, relax and enjoy the cruise.
