Review summary

The rooms are clean, the food was the best, but the cruise is better set up for older people.  Age 70 and up.  There was not much to do with young kids.  The dress code for dinner are set up for older people ( suit and tie)  not casual.

On this ship, you need to wear and suit and tie for dinner at times, if you want to dress casual, this may not work for you.

Service and Staff

Our cabin or room was kept clean all through the trip.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I like that the food was dished out to you rather then people putting there hand on food. The ship was very clean at all times of the day.

The cabin was always kept clean.

Ship tip

The best food and service was on main deck 9th floor.

Doing your homework ahead of time is so essential to having a great cruise. You're right in that HAL caters to a senior clientele. I love HAL, but I sure wouldn't take my grand kids on one of their ships. On the other hand, I would never go on a Carnival weekend cruise during spring break. If you want to treat your kids, take them on Royal Caribbean, or a longer Carnival cruise. We've done both, and the grand kids had a blast.
