Review summary

Scenery and on-shore excursions was the best part of the trip. Least liked part of the trip was the banging overhead in our cabin in less than calm seas. It was related to me by our steward as just the wind. I surmised it to be an unlatched bathroom door in cabin above us and had to tell the crew above to check it out. Problem solved. We were very lucky with weather being beautiful in mid-May!

We enjoyed the Main Stage dancers & singers But the Oosterdam is not a cruise ship for children, as there is no real adventure or clubs for them on board.

A little smaller than Royal Caribbean, as we remember.

Ship tip

Take binoculars (we forgot ours). And don't put up with bumps in the night. It could be a door of adjacent cabin bathroom swinging unlatched.

Dress for drizzle & plan to shop, unless your going on the tram up the mountain side! The Christmas shop is the place to get inexpensive suvenier tree ornaments in huge variety

Victoria, British Columbia

Beautiful city! Gardens & flowers everywhere. Architecture is great and the museum is the best! Buchard Gardens is lovely but you should plan a separate, on the ferry, from Seattle or Anicordes to Victoria BC and spend a few days.
