The best thing I ate on the ship was A cream filled donut at The Great Outdoors Buffet. Actually, I ate 5 of them!

The food in the main dining areas was fair small portions but you could have more I have had better on other cruises. The specialty dining was much better especially Cagneys.

Need to prepare for rich food after eating simply at home. I tried Indian and Asian food at buffet and ate in main dining room mostly.

If you don't care about the view, the 4th floor is a great place to stay. Easy access to the gangways at ports!

I personally enjoyed dining in the Summer Palace the best. The greeting I got from my waiter (Glen) on the first day set the tone. I was concerned because of my food allergies, that eating on board the ship might be a problem . He assured me that the staff would be able to accommodate me & they did.

The food is great in the Garden Cafe (buffet) on deck 12. There is a buffet line at the rear of the ship (outside) at the end of the Garden Cafe if you want to dine outside or save some steps going to the front of the buffet. We found it very handy to speed up going through the line.

Sheehan is great, shepherd pie and Irish stew yummy for late night. Get the ultimate beverage package, it's worth it.

The Tappanyaki food was good, but no Behanna. The buffet dinning needs improvement. I would recommend the buffet included seanone food and non powdered eggs (real eggs).

Should have tried the Summer Palace complimentary dining instead of relying on the buffet all the time.

Chinese food definitely needs improved. Do not order any Chinese food or try Lotus Garden if you have high expectation of a quality/authenticate Chinese food/catering.

We stayed mid-ship on the 9th deck, which was perfect. Dining was on 6 and 7, and on 12. The theater was 6/7 and the pool on 12, so it seemed like we were near a lot of things and could take the stairs. I also pre-ordered the water package before we got on board and it was very convenient having the water waiting for us in the cabin upon arrival. They do offer the same package when you get onboard, so I don't think it's necessary to order in advance, but it did make it convenient.

Learn the ship the first day you get on the ship. Sounds simple but it will make your sailing much nicer since you will not have to spend time getting lost in the days that follow.
