Norwegian Pearl overview
Launched in 2006 and recently refurbished in 2017, Norwegian Pearl features modernized cabins, refreshed public spaces, and remodeled dining venues, including Cagney's Steakhouse, the hibachi restaurant Teppanyaki, and the Topsider Bar & Grill. Active travelers will love the ship’s expanded Tahitian pool, rock climbing wall, and sports court for tennis, basketball, and more. Plus, Pearl was one of the first ships to feature onboard bowling lanes, which you'll find inside the Bliss Ultra Lounge.
This adult-oriented ship provides plenty of after-dark activities. Hit the dance floor at the Spinnaker Lounge, play the slots at the Pearl Club Casino, or plan a pub crawl through Bar City on Deck 6. Norwegian organizes trivia nights, poolside parties, and special events, and the ship has two stage productions. Buckle up for a night of smash hits at Norwegian's Pure Variety revue, or experience the ultimate tribute show at Legends In Concert, which has wowed audiences for over 30 years. Like most Norwegian cruise ships, Pearl has an outstanding spa and thermal suite that includes incredible views from Deck 12. Although the amenities cater to adults primarily, kids activities are available through Splash Academy and the Metro Center teen club.
Norwegian Pearl currently operates in Europe, New England, and the Caribbean. European cruises embark from Amsterdam and Rome with additional departures leaving from Barcelona and Venice. Explore Greece, Italy, and Croatia while soaking in the Adriatic sunshine. Other regional destinations include Monaco, Spain, and Montenegro. Cruises leaving from Amsterdam tour the Emerald Isles, Northern Europe, and the Baltic. In the new world, Pearl departs from Miami, New York, and Quebec City. Cruises visit ports across the Southern and Eastern Caribbean, the Bahamas, Bermuda, and Canada. Norwegian Pearl itineraries range from fast-paced 4-day cruises to leisurely 12-day journeys. Transatlantic bookings are also available.

Why Sail on Norwegian Pearl: While it does sail some Caribbean itineraries, Pearl is ideal for couples and older travelers looking to explore off-the-beaten-path destinations like the Mediterranean, the Baltic, and New England. The ship also has a slightly lower passenger capacity compared to similarly-sized vessels, which means crowds are smaller and less frequent.
You should know: Because couples represent the majority on Norwegian Pearl, the ship's childcare programs and activities are relatively sparse. Pearl also lacks some of the cutting-edge activities found on newer ships like Norwegian Joy, Encore, and Bliss.
