Already said it all. Excursions were hit-or-miss but NCL was really good on non supervisory and really poor on supervisors. Took 20 minutes for supervisor to find out what time it was on shore (an hour earlier) and they were upset that we ask

I would not recommend this cruise line to people. Below says I would rate this cruise a 3.4 stars, I am unable to change that. I would not rate this cruise a 3.1, I would rate this cruise a 1.5/2.0. I have had better experiences on other cruise lines. Friendlier staff including the Captain. The cruise ship was not for me, rather a boring ship because we had to pay for most all our entertainment. A warm welcoming from each port would be great. We experienced this once on this cruise with music and staff outside greeting us playing limbo, but we felt the only reason we were greeted that way was just because there was another cruise line next to Norwegian. It would be great to have that welcoming at all ports not just because another cruise line is at the same port. People talk and word of mouth is the best compliment any business can receive.

Nice ship. Disappointing drop of Costa Rica stop. Too much secrecy on "gastro intestinal issues" experienced on the ship about 10 days into the cruise.

We would do it again - - likely with fewer and different excursions.

The good -- the ship, its staff, the District Brew House, the shows, the piano bar in the District Brew House. The bad --disembarkation (horrible), Colon (worst port I've been to), and Puerto Limon (could have been better if dead rats in street had been removed -- could be improved with better infrastructure).

Cruise was good the food was average not enough choices the same every time

The Joy was a joy to cruise. The staff and the service was excellent. On top!

10-14-19 Please consider this a formal complaint from the passengers aboard the Norwegian Joy. Many passengers and disabled people are forced to travel to the farthest point on the ship, just to smoke. The designated area in H2O, deck 17 aft is not completely accommodating for all. Not only is this space too small with little to no coverage from the elements, but is down right dangerous!! The area is overly filled with tables, chairs, stand up ash trays and umbrellas. With people climbing over these items and other guests to get to a seat, it is an accident waiting to happen. On numerous occasions the walkway to the smoking section is blocked forcing passengers to find an alternate route. This can be greatly challenging and frustrating for the handicap. We find it very discriminatory that we are segregated and forced into a small corner of the vessel. This is a safety hazard to all aboard the ship, crew included. The situation is especially worrisome for the handicap as many of them are unsure of their footing and use canes to assist them. We need more smoking areas to accommodate the handicap along with the numerous others that choose to smoke. Being confined to a small, congested and very dangerous area; especially for the handicap is in violation of our human rights. We pay just as much money as the non smokers and deserve the same respect. We are requesting additional smoking areas to be set up throughout the ship. RSVP accordingly. This cruise was by far the best, we loved it all, even though being sick, it was still amazing, can't wait for the next cruise!!

This is our first cruise vacation! We loved it! Food were outstanding! Will recommend anyone to cruise with Norwegian Joy

Enjoyed 1st NCL cruise, but the last 2 not so much. I will probably never go with them again. Service overall was lacking. Never have I had that issue with Royal Caribbean.

The cruise in general was very good. The Observation Lounge on deck 15 was my favorite place to hang out. "The Local" dinning area was open 24/7 and had some of the best food on the ship. I especially enjoyed the anytime dinning and the relaxed dress code. It was nice to be able to go to dinner without having to change from my day clothes. The food was about average for most cruise ships. My real complaint was that my shipboard credits could not be used to pay for gratuities. This policy was not to be found in any of the literature I could find and the customer service personal were unable to show me anything that stated this policy. In the last year I have cruised on Princess, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Cunard and none of these cruise lines had this same policy. I was really considering cruising more often with Norwegian until this issue came up. Now I will have to think long and hard before taking another cruise with them. There are too many other good cruise companies available with better cruise credit policies.

We like: - any time dining - the water slide - the H2O - the Garden Buffet - the Joy RaceTrack We don't like: - the extreme difficulty to share a table at dinner with other couples - no life jackets in the cabin - the Joy is design for Asian market, poorly designed for US market - the need to book in advance for any show - the cost of the drinks - the minimum level at Casino to achieve complementary drinks, 5 x $1500 = $7500 compared to $1500 on Carnival Cruises Lines - the Theater, Cavern, Atrium... are all too small

What a deal! Great ship/cabin/crew/entertainment.

Happy to have done this cruise. Highly recommend this ship. Newly refurbished. Huge amount of activities. Dan Dan is an excellent cruise director adding to the fun. Over 100 solos showed up the first night to the solo group meet.

We were disappointed at the cruise lines last minute decision of not stopping at Costa Rica. A word of caution: Norwegian Cruise lines $99 offer of round trip fare wasn't as good as it sounded. For very budget minded cruisers it may work if you want to fly at very odd hours and with not so reputable airlines as well. Also, once they make the reservation for you to fly and at any time at their convenience (not yours), you are stuck with it. Under no circumstances, they will change it or even entertain any call from you as well. Their Airline Reservation department people are rude. My booking agent had the same experience when she tried to talk to them. We will not take this offer again from them. We will book our own airlines in the future. Overall, cruising experience was very good !

Overall this was a great voyage. After we booked, changes were made to ports we stopped at which was disappointing and the one big excursion was a disaster, but still a great vacation. Such good food in the specialty restaurants

Had an altercation with a guest on day one and security was called by another employee as well as my group. Waited 45 mins and security never showed up! Good thing it was not life threatening! Bartenders are over serving to the point of absolute drunkenness.

Cruise was a once in a lifetime experience. Ship is big but was not fully booked, so made the trip very pleasant.

Great cruise and Beautiful ship. The Haven menu needs to change some. It seems to be the same the last several years.
