Review summary

Great restaurants, phenomenal entertainment, desserts were average,, entertainment in the Tropicana was too loud could not hear others at our table and adult pool area was very small with 4,000 people on board. Great staff but felt this ship is more geared to servicing the haven (for more $$) and to families with children. Never had a bad cruise, weather can’t be predicted and it was fabulous cruise.

Not so good out of NYC. Took about a half hour in traffic to get to the door

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Buffet was the same every day. Average All restaurants were great Cagneys tenderloin steaks were dry Brazilian restaurant was the best Ocean blue was very good O’sheens was fabulous - the desserts here were best on the ship. Taste & Savor are great for all 3 meals Tropicana music way too loud. Need to remove the stage and add more tables for diners.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There is only one pool (Unless you pay 💰 for the haven. pool is way too small for the size of the ship and number of people on board. Staff does nothing to get the children out of the adult only whirlpools. Not enough sun deck near the pool unless you go up (and down) to deck 16 & 17

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Wow the entertainment was the best ever for us. The shows on the main stage were great, million dollar quartet was fantastic. The comedians had 3 shows every other day, best entertainment we ever had. Give them 10 stars ⭐️

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our poor room steward had so many rooms to clean all by himself. Felt bad for him. No card telling us his name in our cabin. Shannon Du Plesses in Next cruise was one of the best and most cheerful on the ship. Our favorite waiter was Syamsulrzal from Indonesia in the Tropicana was our very best and most friendly waiter on the ship, we tried to get one of his tables when we could. Tables 122,-125 look for him if you want the very best waiter on the ship.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Clean ship but the design of the sun deck is more geared to children than adults.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Much Smaller balcony than we expected but the bathroom with a double sink and huge shower is amazing.

Ship tip

If you like the sun and pool area, are going to a warm climate, the sun deck & pool is very small and very crowded. You Cagneys be disappointed. Small pool and very limited seating around the pool. There are 4 adult only whirlpools. Kids were in it and when advised the staff, they did nothing. The kids area is huge compared to the adult area. whirl pools

Chaotic- we took the ship sponsored bus to the airport. There was no one out there to tell us where to find the bus
