Absolutely loved this cruise and the entire experience. We will highly recommend this trip for anyone wanting to go to any of these ports, but can't decide which place to stay. This is the best way to see and experience all these incredible places!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Easy! We showed up before our scheduled time and walked right on the boat, very organized.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Once we understood how the dining works on NCL, we enjoyed it very much. The specialty restaurants were wonderful and the main dining was great as well.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
The Gem has 2 fairly small pools and 4 little hot tubs. They were always quite crowded. Would have loved an adults only area.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The Gem had one band called Hotwire that was incredible. Otherwise, the entertainment was pretty lackluster. We expected a lot more from the evening shows and more options for entertainment.
Children's Programs
We don’t have small children
Service and Staff

The ship personnel was wonderful!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship seemed very clean and nice.
Cabin / Stateroom

The room itself was WONDERFUL. Nice size, great balcony, tub/shower was awesome. Would have loved a coffee table for times we ordered room service or wanted to play card games in our room. The other HUGE negative experience in regards to the room was at about 3:30/4am every morning, we were woke up by scraping and banging of the furniture above us on the pool deck. It must have been the crew cleaning and setting up. But it was very loud in our room every morning.
Ship tip
Research ahead of time so you have a plan for dining & excursions. Don’t expect perfection. We had minor inconveniences such as our sink didn’t drain right and our toilet wouldn’t flush for 1/2 a day. We also found the entertainment disappointing, but that would likely change on every trip.
Took a tour to a little town and a winery. Had a great time. Didn’t love the slow pace and having to stay with the tour guide, but overall, enjoyed the day.
Awesome place! Took a Game of Thrones tour and it was incredible. Then we stayed in old town, walked around and sat at a great little restaurant for food & drinks.
Took a speed boat tour and it was one of our absolute FAVORITE days! Saw the blue caves, the submarine caves, swam in the sea and then spent about an hour on a beach. It was fabulous!
We did not book an excursion here, we just walked around the old fortress, went thru the Asian museum and grabbed a snack from Starbucks. Beautiful but didn’t spend much time here.
We did not do an excursion here, however, it’s pretty breathtaking. The process of getting off the boat, and up the mountain is a lot. Need to prepare for a lot of lines and waiting. The cable car alone took about 45 minutes.
We booked an excursion that took us to Ancient Corinth and on a boat ride down the Corinth Canal. Another incredible experience and the sights to see are stunning. We did not love our tour guide, she talked too long and made seeing the sights difficult.
Another fantastic day, but interesting experiences. The locals we dealt with were a little rude. Seemed to enjoy taking advantage of the tourists. We spent time at Paradise Beach and then back into town for an incredible Greek lunch and some shopping.
No excursion here, we got off the ship and took the little train ride around the town. It was quite boring. Some beautiful buildings, but kind of dirty. We walked to a rocky beach area and soaked in the ocean for a bit, water was clear and nice.
No excursion here, we walked around, toured the castle nouvo, found an awesome little restaurant for lunch and drinks. It was crowded and hit, but we still enjoyed it!
We took a tour to Pisa and the Beach. It was another great day! Seeing the leaning tower of Pisa in person is pretty cool! The beach experience was relaxing, but the water was pretty gross. We still enjoyed laying in the lounge chairs and had some pretty great pizza!
Can’t really rate this as an excursions since this is where we disembarked around 9am. However, we did book a hotel away from the city center in a little fishing area and had the best time. It was more of a local experience.
Easy! We put our large bags out the night before, waited for them to call our number and drank coffee while we waited. Once we were off the ship, we grabbed our bags and hopped on a bus to take us to the airport where we then took a taxi to our hotel.
Thank you for taking the time to share your cruise with us. Glad you enjoyed it. Always make sure to book a cabin that has cabins above and below you to avoid the noise problems.
