It was going to be my 50th birthday I couldn't decide what to do, so decided to book a cruise a week before it Departed. I should have taking the warning right from the start with the travel agent. We chose this cruise ship because it was brand new and it had all kinds of free things that came with the cruise. Because we were booking so late we got nothing free. That's what the travel agent let us know.

Travel agent booked us sent us the email to register online , I forgot to tell us that we couldn't do anything online because it was too late. Finally called Norwegian for them to tell us that we can't do anything until the day of the cruise ship. Never got a receipt or a breakdown of what I was paying for. Had to wait till we got on the cruise ship. Went to cruise ship early and they gave us a run-around because we didn't know where we were supposed to enter the cruise ship at because we had no information. They still couldn't give us a receipt because they said we should have already had it. Travel agent overcharged us. We were bound determined to make this a great trip and we did. Just wish we would have had a friendlier person taking care of our room and more personable. I just really feel like everything should be included still in the cruise you shouldn't have to pay extra for food.

This is my 6th cruise with norwegian, and i love this one just like it was the first. My excursion in Tortola was cancelled due to the ferry which was not working that day. Norwegian refunded my money with no headache, and offered me another excursion with 30% off for the problem. Food was great, shows that we seen were excellent. My only issue on this ship was that i smoke cigars and look forward to relaxing in the cigar bar, this bar was overrun by nasty cigarette smokers!!!!!! On previous ships there were very few cigarette smokers in the cigar bar. The breakaway had outdoor smoking by the bar so you could go outside and smoke!!!!! Otherwise great vacation.

This cruise was the best one I have done and not because of the length of days but the full experience!  I was grand in comparison to a few others I have done on other Caribbean cruise line ships for weekends.  Every hour I was able to go anywhere I wanted (free-style) on the activities and chose my excursions.  The food was exquisite and I ate well!  I ate like a king, where ever and around the clock!  My 1st excursion was in St. Thomas with snokel, hiking, kayaking and that was worth it!  We went to St. John's and swam with the fishes lol!  Also I was given a taxi tour of Tortola Island which was beautiful and the water was amazing.  Finally, we went to Nassau Bahamas where I free snorkel and that was amazing.  The water was green and blue and what a sight Woa!  Overall this was best cruise ever and the staff on ship made it all worth it all!  Highly recommend the Escape ship for anyone wanting to get out and enjoy life from another perspective Owwwww ;-)

Remarkable cruise on the Escape. Although the ship is very large and very crowded, With the Haven penthouse suite areas you can avoid all the hustle and bustle and be treated like royalty. The Haven lounge, pool, hot tubs, private deck and Restaurant make this experience well worth the cost. Teri Teramae at Cruise Only was excellent in helping us have the trip of a lifetime.  Cabin 14106 is unbelievable in space and view. The butler Marie and the steward spoiled us rotten.

The public areas on the ship were not big enough for the amount of people on the ship. The swimming pool was ridiculous!! Shoulder to Shoulder! 

However the ship is new and well kept and the staff very friendly.

Although ship is new, the staff and entertainment leave much to be desired on this trip.  Staff was not friendly at all.  The world soccer cup was on and all the ship would allow us to watch was tennis.  Unless you where 55 and older, their was no point in going to a show, even if you could get in based on reservation only policy, there was no point in going as the music was from the 1930 - 1980s.  Most nights we went to bed bored and by 900.  Food package meant that we could only eat the same 6 things off the standard dinning package without being charged as much as 25.00 per item, and the staff adds a 5.00 tip on top of that to bring it to the table.  Will not recommend this cruise, or NWC line. 

There is nothing that cannot be said about this cruise, great food, great service, great entertainment.  The staff throughout the ship was also always so very accommodating.  The only stop on our trip that was not great was Nassau but St. Thomas and Tortola were breathtaking.   I would definitely cruise again on Norwegian!!! Great Experience!!

Great food and beverage program, good entertainment on board.   Youth program is very good.  They have kid's camp for different age groups.  Staff is very friendly and kids love to spend time there, giving parents time to unwind.  Lots of things to do on the ship.  One of the best SPAs on cruise ships.  

Overall I was very satisfied with my choice.  I did wish there was one more port of call on the itinerary, but I really wanted to go to Tortola and this was the only itinerary I could find in my timeframe.  Unfortunately our 3rd port (Nassau) was cut even shorter because of a medical emergency we had the day before while at sea.  We had to wait for the Coast Guard helicopter to come with shortened our time in Nassau from 12-7 to 3-7.  We had to cancel our excursion.  Norwegian did give us a full refund though so that was good.  The beverage package incentive was invaluable and I don't think I can ever take a cruise again without having it.  We had a fantastic vacation!

The entertainment overall was really good.  The number of activities available was also very good.  The food was good pretty much everywhere except Le Bistro and O'Sheehans.  Le Bistro being a specialty restaurant had very poor staff and poorly prepared foods.  Steak came out way undercooked, and mussels were the size of 1/4 tsp and had sand all in them.  Not what I expected.  O'sheehans has awful prime rib on special nights and service is really, really slow.   The comedian was Larry Omaha and he was really bad.  I heard the rest of the comedian were good.  I found the shows really good.  The ship's layout is all geared toward Haven suite travelers.  They get all of the space, so there is very little pool deck space.  There are limited public areas and an odd layout.  If you want some free coffee, forget about getting that anywhere except at the buffet.  I would have expected them to offer this at the Atrium Café, but no go. 

I'm still flying high from our cruise aboard the NCL ESCAPE. Out of al the cruise lines I've traveled... Norwegian is the best HANDS DOWN!  I can't wait to book again 😀

First cruise with NCL was very impressed. Food was good and plenty of choices, staff was very friendly and helpful. Impressed on how the concentration of cleanliness was.

The ship was gorgeous and the food.....OMG the food was the best we have ever had on any of our 13 cruises.  We got to eat at the specialty restaurants and we had unlimited beverage package.  So with that being said, the steak house was good, the French restaurant was amazing and the Japanese was equally amazing!  We would recommend the beverage package (this was our first time) and will never cruise without getting it!  The mojito bar was our favorite place to drink.  Our only complaint is that there is not an inside dance club for adults.  Other than that ...... No complaints at all! 

The Escape is a wonderful ship! So many things to see & do! 7 days wasn't long enough!! We had an aft balcony cabin & enjoyed it immensely! Relaxing with coffee every morning on our large balcony before starting our daily activities was perfect. Our room steward was just the Best!! All of the crew is friendly & helpful. The food in the main dining rooms was good & provided some of the children in our group the chance to try several new foods too. The were 10 in our group so we were advised to make reservations for both dining & shows if we preferred to sit together. So we did just that. Having our dinners together was a great time to discuss our day & also having the show already chosen for the evening provided the group the option of going or not! It worked out very well for our group. We had a wonderful time on the Escape. 

My favorite part was my grandkids enjoyed the water slides and other activities in pool area

I was not too happy with the Islands we visited 

The only show I enjoyed was O What a night (the 4 seasons)

The food was good and the service was ok

The only thing we did not like was the gratuities charged everyday. I don't believe we were told that would be done. Other than that we had a wonderful time.

poor service on this ship the room stewart never gave us towels, did a bad job of cleaning the room, had to ask almost everyday for beach towels. the breakers kept blowing in the room so the tv and all the outlets would go dead. service on this ship is poor. But the ship is beautiful with lots of things to do. entertainment you had to make reservations to watch any of the shows

The food at the specialty dining rooms were beautiful and delicious, however the staff would take a super long time delivering menus and food. This is usually expected, but I noticed people who got here later than my party finish earlier.

There was also nothing special about the buffet; the quality was mediocre just like my college cafeteria.

Activities also closed early. Meh

Food, boat in general, ropes course, were all awsome! 

The only thing was that our cabin was on the 15th floor just under the garden cafe. It was very noisy at night when they clean up... The Glow party gave our cabin loud music and vibrations;  it should not finish too late, so people can sleep! 

Otherwise great cruise.

I COULD NOT NAME ONE THING THAT WAS MY FAVORITE PART OF THIS CRUISE.THE ENTIRE CRUISE FROM THE TIME I STEPPED ON BOARD UNTIL THE TIME I STEPPED OFF WAS ENCREDABLE! THE STAFF AND ANYONE WHO WAS EMPLOYED BY NORWEGIAN WERE ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! I WAS TREATED LIKE ROYALTY.IF I TAKE ANOTHER CRUISE IT WILL BE ON A NORWEGIAN SHIP!
