Stay away from 8th floor with uncovered balcony and view of lifeboats. If you don't want to put up with kids, take a different cruise as this ship allowed children in EVERY adults only area.

Pack your luggage then take 2/3 clothing out- you can do it with a carryon. You only wear your comfort clothes anyways! Super Easy On/Off and return tender in Grand Caymen as a Haven guest

This ship is too big to not have hand held maps to show how to get around. I felt like a fish out of water. After a few days you learn to depend on the daily newsletter (freestyle) to tell you which directions to wander. Be prepared to be totally confused!

Bring your luggage on board so you can change the minute you get on as opposed to having to wait for it to arrive, We got on ship at 1pm, but our luggage did not arrive to our rooms until 5pm

We like one more port day and less sea days on a seven day cruise. If you enjoy sea days, you should have fun.

Save on your bar tab and get BAR SET-UP in your room. It's bottles of alcohol (there's a list) that you can pre-order prior to cruising. We brought our own red bull, pop and water and saved a BUNDLE. For comparison we spent about $600 in drinks (pop, water and alcohol) vs $160 this time!!

If you can get it properly recorded go for dine around package. The specialty restaurant food was really wonderful. Do not take this cruise if seeking quiet relaxation as part of your vacation.

My suggestion is to make sure to check your iterinary everyday - what activities you booked on and get a copy of the statement the day before your departure so there will be no surprises.

There is lots to do with all ages of kids--every kind of swimming pool, ping pong, air hockey, shuffleboard, basketball, walking deck, etc. It is only around five years old. We loved the inside cabin and booked as a last minute trip. We were very satisfied.

I've only been on one other Cruise (Alaska..) and I can say this was my best Cruise by comparison. The Norwegian Epic is an exceptional ship....excellent all over experience!

People seem to reserve the chairs next to the pool early and for the entire day, even though they were no where to be seen most of the time. This was very inconsiderate of them. There should be a policy to warn this off.
