Review summary

We booked this cruise 2 years ago, to celebrate my wife's "special" birthday. The cruise was exceptional, room, food, service, staff, entertainment, and the spa were more than we could have asked. What marred the trip was air travel, we had issues both ways, with two different airlines, and they did nothing to make us feel better about the experience. I think NCL should buy an airline and show them how customer service is done.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Fastest and easiest embarkation and this was our 11th cruise.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
MDRs were great, there was a little trouble with seating procedures at Taste, creating an unneeded line. Not the same problem at Manhattan. All specialty restaurants were worth the up-charge!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Fitness center was empty early in the morning, and the spa was wonderful all day.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Cirque de Dreams, and Burn the Floor were batter than before and Priscilla was an unexpected treat. Cavern club was too crowded,

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

June, waiter in O'Sheehan's made a special milk shake for my wife on her birthday. It's the little touches that make you feel important.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I am tired of reading about how people do not like the bathrooms, because of the plumbing layout the rooms feel larger than on other ships. This was our second cruise on Epic, we chose this because of the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Room was the best we've ever had, we were 10 steps from the spa, and we went every day!

Ship tip

Make as many reservations as you can before you go, you can always change them once on board. We reserved all dinning and most shows before we left home.

More like Arizona with all the cactii, but worth the time we spent. Loved the Aloe Vera farm and factory.

Willemstad, Curacao

Our tour guide was exceptional, not sure if we loved the place or she made us think we did.

Bridgetown, Barbados

Took a narrow gauge train ride in the rain. Even with the rain we enjoyed the experience, even though some views were not accessible.

Basseterre, St. Kitts Did not visit port

Our excursion was canceled by the vendor., went to the spa.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

Glad I was not driving on those winding roads! Lovely beach-side stop near Pussers Rum.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Simple sky ride, right across from the dock, we walked there. The views were spectacular! Plus they had shops, food and a bar at the top.

We had a transfer with NCL, they took care of everything.
