I personally like the smaller ships and don’t need all the extra frills. If you’re looking for water slides and mini golf and other extras, the dawn isn’t really for you. But if you like smaller ships, the dawn is great. The atrium is big and open with an upper lounge area great for playing cards or listening to the performers below. The crew is fantastic!! We had plenty of vacation heroes!

Did the 10 southern trip from San Juan to Tampa in early January. This was my first time sailing NCL as my simular cruise was cancelled due to carnival leasing the fascination out to FEMA. I must say I really was impressed with the Dawn. The ship is refurbished at the decor is clean and sleek. All speciality dining venues were awesome! However, dinner in the main dining rooms really needs improvement. Food was bland and tasteless. Service was great from bartenders to our room stewart.

Fantastic Cruise, would highly recommend. This was our 11 cruise with NCL and I can't wait until our next cruise next January.

Relaxing 10 day cruise! NCL Dawn is just the perfect size ship and always a fun time onboard!

I think I have summed it up. Make sure to go out and participate, don't be shy - act foolish, take chances, meet people and help tyo enhance their experience too. We're all in the same boat. :)

Fantastic itinerary, excellent crew, horrible design of boat. Cigar and cigarette smoke made many places off limits. Especially when windy. Will not cruise on Dawn ever again.

We loved the Caribbean and it’s beautiful waters. Meet a lot of nice people on the ship.

The Dawn is an older ship but clean & well taken care of. Staff is very friendly. Plenty of areas to go off by yourself if you want. Good communication from the bridge. The Caribbean is open for business & eager to see us

As was stated earlier....NCL was running a ZOO !!! We are going to contact NCL and let them know (by the way they have heard from Hundreds of Long time Customers) of a very disappointing cruise.

Greetings I hope my comment helps a little more to the one who travels on this cruise. My cruise was from November 26 to December 3. It was a super cool cruise and at the same time a bit weird. cool because I had never been in any boat in norwegia and for me it was like the first time I was in one. and weird because everything on this boat is around you do not know if you are behind or forward the boat moves a lot on the floor that I was 12035 ahy and felt all the movement. food. the food is one of the best I've tasted in bamboo is the best Chinese food you can try and if you go to eat ahy is with reservation and it's free you have to tell them if you are allergic to seafood from the beginning because they are responsible in that As for the venice and the aquarium, they are brutal eaters of cute people and the food is excellent at the buffet on the 12th floor. It serves almost the same thing every day but it is eaten good so well. the pool is very small and there is not much space only if you go at night. all very well up to ... THE DISEMBARK that was the worst all the people leaving by a single door did not have a good organization many people going out and going out employees did not know that doing that was the only negative but everything else I give 4.5 to norwegian dawn

Just got back from cruise of the southern Caribbean and it was wonderful! Because of alot of cancellations due to the concerns of past hurricanes, we were able to bid for an upgrade. We were fortunate to get a family suite. It was a bit pricey, but well worth it. My wife and I had been on our 1st cruise last year on the Escape and enjoyed it, so we decided to bring our 21 year old son on his 1st cruise/trip ever. Our son has autism and we were concerned with how he was going to react with the new environment of the ship. Having a suite was a godsend. Because it is a suite, we had a butler who took special care of us, and especially our son. Jonathon suggested bringing us pizza on days when our son wasn't up to going out for dinner. We did twice. What was awesome was having breakfast brought to us every morning and not fighting the crowds at the buffet! Our son can be a handful to get out of bed in the mornings, and we were concerned because we made plans for every port. He got up everyday in no small part because if Jonathon. We would tell him he needed to get up because Jonathon would be bringing breakfast soon. Jonathon would arrive and peek into his room, " wakey wakey! I brought you breakfast!" And he would get up! Jonathon also brought us gifts of snacks every afternoon after our excursions. We also would like to thank Larry our steward who maintained our room and left us a menagerie of towel animals. Every time he saw us, he asked if we needed anything. Another perk was VIP desembarkcation. We never had to fight the crowds at port or the last day of the cruise. As far as concerns about damage caused by the hurricanes, the only ports it affected were San Juan and St. Thomas. Old San Juan has very few street lights left and is very dark at night. This being said, we felt safe because of the increased patrols of police on the streets. The city is beautiful during the day! Fort Christabal had just opened that week and we toured it. The park rangers were passionate about their jobs as well as knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We rented a car in St. Thomas and I'm glad we got a jeep. Many power lines are still down and there are small detours to get around damage, so you should give yourself enough time to get back in time. The potholes were very bad. I asked a local if they were always bad, "they were always bad, now they're ridiculous ". The port area is in decent shape, but there are still a few businesses closed. Overall we really enjoyed our cruise on the Dawn and would recommend it .

Ship was old and it showed. Shows were mediocre after one. Deal or no deal was best program they had. Only 1 pool for all the people on boat. Staff didn't care or wasn't trained properly to provide the best experience they can. Food orders were wrong and food was cold at times from O'Sheeans. I just couldn't believe that this was the norm for this ship/cruise line. It was a terrible experience and would no go back. No smile on staff faces unless it was a few people I mentioned above.I forgot to mention the bartender at the mojito bar/Brazilian steakhouse was great. Besides that it was a total failure by the staff to even pretend they care about you or your trip. Total disgrace

I’ve never been on a cruise before this one, and never will be on one again. If I could give it 0 stars I would. It was such a joke and a big waste of money.

Due to many cancellation, Norwegian offered deeply discounted prices to the locals in the embarkation port. The added way too many children and non-English speakers which made this cruise a bit uncomfortable. We cruise this time of year not to have too many kids and the ones on ship were out of control.

First of all, I would not recommend this cruise line, or cruise ship to anyone... we picked a suite that we liked, then was asked if we would be interested in upgrading our cabin if one became available. We said yes, but never heard back from anyone, until we received a withdrawal from our bank account for $1500 dollars. We called the cruise line to find out what the fee was. They told us it was for our upgrade that we never approved. They never allowed us to see the new suite or decide if we wanted to make the switch. When we arrived to our suite, it wasn't cleaned. There was ballon ends and tape all over the ceiling from the previous guests. There was finger prints all over the mirrors and televisions. Our Suite that caused us an extra $1500 dollars was below the main entrance above us going in and out of the pool area. Needless to say we barely slept because of the noise. We continued to complain but of course nothing was done. I have traveled on many cruise lines in the past. They were all amazing with nothing but four or five stars on all reviews. I am still trying to catch up on my sleep.

This was our first cruise and we enjoyed the flexibility of freestyle dining as well as the options available for excursions and activities on-board. Lots of fun!

We liked it so much we're headed back out next summer on it! Perfect size to get to know the ship and the ship staff. I highly recommend to anyone cruising for their first time or veteran cruisers.
