Review summary

We liked it so much we're headed back out next summer on it! Perfect size to get to know the ship and the ship staff. I highly recommend to anyone cruising for their first time or veteran cruisers.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The port terminal was laid out very well. We entered and went through security easily. We met our check in agent and then had lots of room to relax as we waited to board.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The main dining rooms had good food. I will be ready on my next cruise to possibly ask for a second plate because quality was good and quantity was small. The specialty dining had good food and the food quality and quantity was what we are used to. Wait staff in both liked talking about the trip and the foods with us. All wait staff was excellent!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the thermal spa, gym, classes and shows. The iConcierge app can be fixed to include an end time for activities, to like a particular activity and have a notification that the liked activity will be starting soon. The app was a little archaic compared to other times I've used apps at work seminars.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the dance/singing performances in the theater and other places of the ship and the magician.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was very helpful and happy.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We liked the layout of the ship. It's one of the smaller ones. Everything was clean and our room steward was awesome!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was the perfect size for my husband and I. I wouldn't put more than 2 adults in it because there wouldn't be enough storage space for easy access to clothes.

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts

5 out of 5
I felt safe in Bermuda. It was clean. Everyone was friendly.

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

5 out of 5
Easy to navigate. Pretty and clean.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy disembarking.

I agree Tandi481. We're headed back next August. I'll be looking for any new tips you can give us!

I did the Dawn last May as my first time on a cruise. I liked it so much I’m going again in April

Thanks! These are GREAT tips!! I hope we have as good of an experience as you did! And I will pass it on afterwards, as you have!❤️

You're going to have a great time! The easiest place to get drinks is in the atrium at the Java Cafe. Go visit Myla and Anna there. The easiest way to get drinks poolside is by the wait staff taking orders and bringing them back to you. There was always a line at the poolside bars.

Band on the Run was good, Elements was excellent, the magician was excellent, Neil Diamond show was excellent. Jose and Patti did the Neil Diamond show in the theater and played almost every night in the atrium :)

I just saw on my husbands phone where you reviewed the food. It wasn’t showing up on mine. Sometimes this app is a little weird! I’m glad you liked the ship! It sounds wonderful!!😍

The food was good in all non-specialty areas. Food size was smaller in those areas. Specialty dining - Los Lobos (Mexican) was the best - guacamole made fresh at your table, tasty empanadas and then carne asada was awesome. Cagney's steakhouse would be our #2 - we had the filet mignon and surf and turf and liked the truffled mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts and steamed spinach. #3 for us was Moderno (Brazilian steakhouse), lamb chops were our favorite. Everything was fresh there but we have an excellent Brazilian steakhouse in NH and they definitely marinade the meats longer. Acai caipirinha (Brazilian drink) was our favorite. We went back every night to see Rommel (Mel), the bartender at the Sugarcane Mojito bar/Moderno for that drink. La Cucina (Italian) food was alright. My Oso Busco could have had more flavor and I had a snack later because we ate at 5:30 and was still hungry later on :(

If you have any questions, let me know. Much of the staff is staying on board and they're excited for the next set of cruisers to join them :)
