Ship was old and it showed. Shows were mediocre after one. Deal or no deal was best program they had. Only 1 pool for all the people on boat. Staff didn't care or wasn't trained properly to provide the best experience they can. Food orders were wrong and food was cold at times from O'Sheeans. I just couldn't believe that this was the norm for this ship/cruise line. It was a terrible experience and would no go back.
No smile on staff faces unless it was a few people I mentioned above.I forgot to mention the bartender at the mojito bar/Brazilian steakhouse was great. Besides that it was a total failure by the staff to even pretend they care about you or your trip. Total disgrace

Food wasn't that good at all at the buffet. Lines were extremely long and they don't replicate the same food at each line which didn't make sense to me. Food was better at Aqua but still not great. Pizza was terrible and burgers were pre made and drop at the stations.
Drinks were ok but annoying to have to get a drink at specialty bar when the bar in front of has the ingredients to makes the drink there. Doesn't make sense at all.
Edwin at the Aqua was great by the way.

The one main pool was overcrowded and too deep for kids to enjoy. Kiddie pool was relegated to the back of the boat like kids were being punished and those pools were lame also.
Nothing fun to do on boat at all.

Service was terrible. Not friendly at all from the ship personnel. Leslie James during disembarkation didnt care about people safety and just wanted them off the boat asap. Our room steward was nice, Edwin at aqua was nice, Mas the bartender was nice and also Kurt the bartender at the casino bar were very nice. But those people should be the standard not the exception.

Ship tip
Don't go except for the beverage package. Only way you would enjoy yourself is to be drunk 24 hours.
Worst experience I have had in my 7 cruises. Elevators were not working, people pushing their luggage down the steps to get stuck on level 5. Everyone had to use the steps which wasn't safe at all for people with their luggage and kid strollers.
Leslie James didn't care at all which is a disgrace as the assistance cruise director. I can not explain how terrible and unsafe the experience was.
We were on the Dawn in November of 2016 just after the referb and then February 17 and will be on her again in January 18. Never had any of the incidents. Decor was outstanding everywhere. Never had cold food, and if it was we would send in back and enjoy another adult beverage. Staff was always attentive.
The Dawn went through a major reno in 2016. What parts of the did you think still look old. We just got off the Dawn on November 12. We ate several times at O'Sheehans without issue. Always remembered my favorite drink.
