We have been on this cruise 4 or 5 times on different ships. We have always enjoyed the trips, food, service and the people we meet. As with all cruises, it can be as active or as restful a cruise as you want.

Free at Sea is misleading. How can it be free if you can not get it? (Bars). Cigar room is a nice addition and well kept. Be prepared for long lines and poor service on a pretty well maintained ship.

I don't think I would book with again. Mainly because they didn't tell me about the mandatory tips. This ended up costing me an extra $140 that I did not even factor into my cruise budget. If I did not bring on extra money or my credit card, who knows what would have happened. But for the cruise line itself, Norwegian Breakaway is a very very nice ship and there is a lot to do for just about everyone. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Book with Norwegian itself. Don't rely on not unless you want to end up with a lot of extra charges that they didn't tell you about.

Would never recommend NCL to anyone. There wasn’t much to be happy about. Cagneys and burn the floor were the only two things that were good on a 7 night cruise. That’s pathetic.

Won't be sailing on this boat again. One of out ports got skipped and they only gave us a $15 refund. Pretty pathetic. Not much at all to do on the boat. Same 2 events replayed every single night. I know they can do better but choose not to.

I was a bit disappointed in the cruise but most of it was due to weather. This is not something that is anyone's fault. It rained a lot and a few nights were very rocky, many were sea sick. Ports were missed and one was rescheduled. We went with a group and had fun playing cards and such.

I would do this cruise again but knowing that it will just be chill and not exciting. Entertainment options and venue size needs work. It could have used 3 more pools for 4k guests, but there is no where to put them.

This was a fun cruise, but nothing special. However, the price was right. We enjoyed it, and still managed to gain weight. I felt like most of the time we entertained ourselves as the things that were listed as activities were "sale of bingo cards" or jewelry sale in the jewelry store.

We traveled with friends and had the best time. The ports were warm and wonderful as leaving New Orleans we were in the brunt of a cold snap. It was exactly what was needed in January.

We had a great time, very relaxing, lots to do if you wanted but many ways to just relax as well.

The ports were great, but the ship itself left a lot to be desired. We will likely not do Norwegian again.

Overall a nice cruise. Small pool, drag to continually stand in line to have account statement adjusted almost daily. Staff excellent, cabin very good comfort, small fridge, no coffee maker, insufficient outlets for charging phones, camera batteries, etc. Room service great, specialty restaurants excellent, as were the non buffet dining rooms: Tate, Savor, and Manhattan Room(live music w dinner) Comedy show and Dance theater were enjoyable. Cocktail crew great!

Although this site wants to rate our overall experience at 3.2, I would make it a 2.2. Worst ship and cruise line we've been on. We spoke to other passengers who felt the same. Bad food, bad entertainment. They nickel and dime you for everything.

As being a platinum I feel I am able to say with some experience that this was the worst NCL cruise to date for us.

Overall the cruise was just ok. NCL wouldn’t be my first choice to sail on again but I would still consider sailing with them in the future. I know a few people who might enjoy it more than I did.

This cruise seemed to be geared towards older couples. Would not recommend for children/teens.

Overall, we had a great time on our birthday cruise. We enjoyed the ship and it's offerings and was just right for a 7 day cruise. Any longer in that cabin category and that size of ship would have been too much.

I was very disappointed in Norwegian. I could feel that money was the only important thing. It seemed like every part of the cruise was based on how much more money can they get.

We have no regrets taking this family cruise, but was slightly disappointed about the overall staff (maybe they were understaffed?). Compared to my previous experiences, this was probably my least favorite cruise, but I am happy with the memories my family made and would cruise again.
