Review summary

This was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime. We aren’t wealthy people and had to save for a very long time to go on this anniversary trip. NCL’s mismanagement caused me a great deal of distress, crying multiple nights, no functioning toilet for 6 days in a row, missing multiple ports due to poor management during disembarking. God forbid there had been an emergency, I had zero faith we would make it off the ship in a safe, timely manner… I feel like I wasted thousands of hard earned dollars and truly feel like we have been scammed. It was supposed to be a once in a lifetime trip, and was truly the biggest disaster due to their mismanagement.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
We used NCL for transfers, and found ourselves stranded at the airport for 5 hours.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Specialty restaurants aren’t worth it. Tepenyaki was the only decent one but still not worth the price.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Bingo is always fun. The game shows were amusing to watch. Other activities were always far too crowded

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Six and Burn The Floor were incredible.

Children's Programs

I don’t have kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room Steward Ricardo was fabulous. Other stand outs were David and Fidel at the Vibe Beach Club and Erron and Marion at Starbucks.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Just average. By the end of the cruise you could tell many people were sick. Many people coughing and sneezing all over everything.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
It was just average. Nothing stood out. Paid extra for access to the thermal spa and were only able to use it twice since it was overcrowded and super loud.

Ship tip

Don’t do it.

Disembarkation

Awful awful awful. They tried to separate my husband and I onto different busses, causing me to have a full blown panic attack. I had to physically force myself off the bus as they wouldn’t let my husband on.

Sorry you had such a rough time. We enjoy sailing NCL but stick to the Haven to allow a respite from the noise and chaos

Hopefully you learned some lessons should you cruise again. Cruise transfers are rarely worth it. And if you had an issue with your cabin, hopefully you were persistent in complaining to guest services. Normally they will move you if there is an issue they can’t resolve.
