Great Cruise ~ just right by KenM11

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was great - the cabin was a bit smaller than I would have liked but we didn't spend too much time there really. The main street with the coffee shop and wine bar etc was perfect. Very well done.

An OK cruise by SheenaD

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was beautifully crafted. My husband and I both enjoyed the cruise but were disappointed at how much extra money we had to spend on food. Of course they have the cafe that serves free food but it wasn't always good. We have cruised with Carnival Cruises before and were not use to having to pay for beverages (sodas) or any other food items besides drinks (alcoholic). I think we would have enjoyed more of the spa treatments if we hadn't had to pay for food and drinks.

Phenomenal Vacation!! by NinaD2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Wow! Our cruise was incredibe! The staff was extremely polite (I don't think anyone said "No" to us for the entire time.) We had never cruised with Royal Caribbean before; now I think we'll only cruise with RC in the future. I can honeslty say that our trip was perfect. (And I never do that)

Great Cruise Ship by CharlesS11

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship is beautiful, and the rooms were layed out very efficiently. The common areas were spacious and accessable. The ship's crew were very nice and professional. The entertainment was very good, but the food was just ok.

Balmy cruise soothes winter blues by HenryT1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Navigator of the Seas has been in service for some time. The carpets were soiled in front of each stateroom door on our deck. The meals were well prepared and tasty. All but the steaks, that were tough, stringy and one grade lower than fast food. The shows were well done. The Mayan tours were well done. The cigar bar was too small for the crowd. And the whisky selections were poor to meager.

"A very nice cruise!" by LoisG

Sail date: / Traveled as:
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We would recommend the ship because it is a beautiful ship, and we Iove deck 5, especially the wine shop. More ships should have wine shops considering that wine has become the most popular drink. I would not recommend the food. The cafe was the best place to eat something. Also the crew was especially nice as crews usually are.

A good relaxing time by TomN2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Voyager class ships have just about everything you need. Ice skating, Ben and Jerry's, rock climbing, putt putt golf. Hard to get board. This cruise was just a relaxing time for my wife and I. When looking to go on a cruise, we always look for the last day to be at sea just so we can unwind and relax. This was our shortest cruise we;ve been on, but it was just what we needed!

Experience of a life time by MrsK59145210

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was so much more than we expected. We had never cruised before and we plan to go again, and again and again. The Navigator of the Seas is a spectacular beauty. The interior of the ship is so open from top to bottom. The photographs we took inside and out are postcard quality.

Decent cruise by JodyH1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We selected this cruise because of the length (5 days) and RCCL's reputation for value. While the ship could use some upgrading, it is generally in decent shape save for some of the sports venues like golf. The food was passable but we have had better and more imaginative fare on other lines. They did have an assortment of lo-cal and sugar free desserts, which for those of us dieting, was nice. Late seating dinner was not well attended, many folks opting for the Windjammer buffet. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. We opted for a stern located stateroom (10th deck) with balcony. We were at first a bit hesitant when our travel agent recommended it but actually the balcony was bigger and watching ports disappear in the distance along with some beautiful sunsets made for a nice surprise. Highly recommend it and will likely choose from now on. Port of call were marginal. They all pretty much have the same shops, similar bars, etc. We had been to Jamaica and Grand Cayman before so spent little time on the island, thus more time on the ship which during port time are not crowded (poolside) and becomes instantly pleasant. I really wish cruise lines would provide more at sea time - "cruise to no where" for those of us who just want to relax at sea. There is something about a ship moving through the water that is totally relaxing. Disembarkation was a zoo. We opted for early off (scheduled for 7:45) so that I could make a meeting in Ft. Lauderdale. Massive crowds in public areas all trying to get off the ship is what greeted us. RCCL needs to do a better job of managing this option. Only one staff member was available to manage the crowds. We got off the ship finally an hour later.

First Cruise by FredF1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

You feel nickeled and dimed for everything, shore excursions filled up fast but no one had anything nice to say upon returning anyway, the boat was crowded and if the weather isn't good it is worse (few on deck), not enough deck lounge chairs, people saved chairs so if you don't get one early your out, you have to find a place to sit first before you get your lunch from the buffet as the seats fill up, you don't have too much time to spend in port

Very very nice cruise! by WoodyB80357190

This was our first time on a cruise and did not know what to expect. We were very impressed with the features and layout. The indoor smoking was the biggest backeye. What a terrible filthy addiction.

A great time by CindyD10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Overall, my group had a terrific time. The service was outstanding, everything was clean, and well-kept, and the crew/staff was organized, helpful, and friendly. Two things bothered me: Tips were automatically added to any bar bill, and secondly, dinners in the dining room were disappointing. Meat entrees were second-rate, fish entrees were bland, and the pasta dishes were something I could make at home. The appetizers, however, were excellent. Make those your entrees and you'll score points with me!

Fantastic cruise by Gemma

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was great, very well kept The staff was very friendly. Out waiter at dinner was the best, his recommendations of the food was great. The alcohol is very over priced (but I guess that is how they make money). Also I think that they should offer water bottles for free, a bottle of water pretty much cost the same a an alcoholic beverage. I would reccommend buying the unlimted soda cup on the first day even if you do nor drink a lot of soda it would be a nice option to have. The climbing wall is great and anyone, any age should try it. The food at the windjammer cafe is great and offers a lot of options during lunch, we did not go there for dinner. I would highly recommend this cruise ship.

Unbelievable Cruise! by CarrieN1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was magnificent! The cabins although small, are very efficient. Staff was friendly and very accomodating! The ship never felt crowded. There were plenty of deck chairs, which was not the case with the ship we went on last year (also Royal Carib. but smaller) Great trip for families. Lots of activities for the kids. Would highly reccomend this cruise to anyone!

Wonderful Family Cruise by NydiaR

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I was amazed at the size of this beauttiful ship. It was a wonderful family vaction during school winter break. The staff was wonderful and very nice. Food was very good and there was a lot of variety even for the kids. You don't feel like you are on a large ship, especially if your cabin in mid ship. Easy access to the dining room, pool, etc. Great ship for kids and grown ups as well. We were there at 10:30 am and got on the ship by 11:15 and had a nice lunch, explored the ship and went to our cabin at 1:30pm. When we disembarked, it was very organized and we found our luggage right away. We went through customs with no problems and the buses were there waiting for us. Very organized. Also, if you are organized, have paperwork ready and passports out and open, it goes much faster.
