Wonderful time by KDixon

Ship: MSC Virtuosa

We had a lovely time on this cruise. My husband and I o my did one trip to Marrakesh it was a long way to go. The traditional lunch was great. We didn’t really get any time to buy anything from the bazaar. Had we visited though.

fantastic ship by lizajw

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Virtuosa

From start to finish the MSC staff were so helpful and friendly. Our cabin was spotless and comfy. The choice of food was amazing. We dined in the opera and was looked after by Kandi our waiter for the week, what an amazing person. We enjoyed the Mexican restaurant aswell well worth it. Facilities were were great fun, plenty to keep you busy on sea days. Really enjoyed port days, well organised. Lift system best I have seen. Pizza superb. Vegetarian options great in all restaurants. Will definitely go again on MSC, thank goodness we didn't take any notice of negative reviews.

An Arabian Advenure by traveldoc2013

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Virtuosa

Very enjoyable and relaxing experience. YC staff work hard to ensure guests relax and have a real 'vacation'. We didn't want or ask for anything... if anything, we probably enjoyed the food and drinks too much. Detox when we return home!

Don’t waste your money by Pen123

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Virtuosa

There is so many better cruises I wouldn’t fall for a cheap cruise again as it works out more expensive, the cruise was a nightmare. I even tried to find a flight back from Spain and a lot of other people were also looking. Unfortunately, even after making a complaint the customer service is as useless as it was on the ship and they do not care whatsoever. You feel like you are totally on your own.

Fantastic cruise by chiefpete

15 days of luxury with some nice ports. Sailing from Southampton is easy for us Brits but you need a long cruise to get to the warmth

A bit disappointing by carolinelouise

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Virtuosa

Be prepared for crowds. The ship is simply too busy. There are not enough places to escape to, and getting out on deck isn't as easy as on RC ships. Every space is used for the inside, so there is no promenade deck lower down like on other ships. The difference between YC is also too obvious. On RC, my parents had a suite and gold cards but still ate with us, etc. The service in the main ship is so inferior to YC that this would never happen. Main dining room food is not good. They do what they can on such a mass scale, but not once did I say "oh that's delicious." There are literally 3 to 4 classes on these ships. Yes, we saved 4k on our previous cruises, but you could tell. The best thing was the shows, which were very good. We went to a lot of those, which helped.

Amazing Ship, Fantastic Entertainment. by DLOWLES

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Virtuosa

Fantastic ship, Amazing entertainment. Shame there are too many passengers. Busy all the time. Embarkation a nightmare, Muster drill even worse. Not a good start to a cruise. Kids running riot all over the ship with no control from the parents.

Pleasantly surprised! by shilenae

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Virtuosa

Given the frequent negative reviews about MSC, I was not expecting a lot. However, I was pleasantly surprised and had a lovely cruise on the Virtuosa. The service was fantastic with most staff going above and beyond, exception being the casino bar staff. The food was pretty decent with plenty of options. There were issues with overcrowding and excessive queues to get off the ship but overall, I had an unexpectedly good time.

NIGHT MARE FROM START TO FINISH AND AFTER !! by Gaz123

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Virtuosa

Don’t really know where to start ? Ship very overcrowded. Buffet like a cattle market , could never get a seat anywhere after evening meal in bars , drinks package a waste of time unless you have premium , food not the best. Not enough staff to cope with the crowds. Hidden costs everywhere, was supposed to disembark at 7.30 as we where aurea experience but was given wrong number to attach to suitcase and by time we realised was too late as cases had been took so was almost last to get off. Staff who where getting off where in same que as us and where mostly given priority. Got home and day after checked bank to see I’ve been overcharged on final bill by over £200. Worst holiday experience of my life. DO NOT CRUISE WITH THESE. YOU WILL REGRET IT !!

MSC Virtuosa 3 day ‘taster’ cruise. by BrysY

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: MSC Virtuosa

This was for us a group cruise organised by YouTubers the Cruise Monkeys. MSC really pulled out the stops to help them make it special. They provided a daily meeting venue and added some nice touches. Our first MSC but won’t be our last. We’ll look to do a longer one possibly from Europe. If we get the chance to cruise with the Monkeys again we’ll definitely try to do it.

Pleasantly surprised by teamstewart

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: MSC Virtuosa

We booked this purely on price, it was cheap and cheerful. Yes, MSC has its faults but you get what you pay for. When you compare it to a land based holiday, it doesn’t even come close in terms of standards and value for money.
