Review summary

15 days of luxury with some nice ports. Sailing from Southampton is easy for us Brits but you need a long cruise to get to the warmth

Embarkation

5 out of 5
From leaving our hotel to our hotel in Southampton to our first drink on the ship was 1 hr

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Excellent. Plenty of choice in both main dining and buffet and excellent service in main dining. One of our party was gluten-free and had no complaints

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Stage shows were excellent and all the bands, singers, piano players have us a fantastic experience

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Virtually all the staff worked there socks off to give us a great experience. Yes service at the bars could be a little slow at times but you are on holiday so chill and be polite

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Big ship with lots of passengers, probably too many. Needed more seating instead of fancy design. The gallery Virtuoso displays were fantastic. This is a very noisy ship with hard surfaces which reflect noise. Pool area is good

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Adequate in size and ideal position for lift

Ship tip

Chill and enjoy

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

5 out of 5
Lots to see. Didn't have enough time here

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands

5 out of 5
Found a lovely beach at Cala Major, a 10 min taxi ride away and had a beach day

Cadiz (Seville), Spain

5 out of 5
Open top bus was a good way to see the city

Valencia, Spain

4 out of 5
oceanographic is very good

Casablanca, Morocco

1 out of 5
Nothing but hastle.

Alicante, Spain

5 out of 5
Lots to see. Most people land at the airport and go to bennidorm and miss what this has to offer

La Coruna, Spain

3 out of 5
Poor disembarkation. Nothing special. Nice beach short walk away

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
The ship was late in for some reason so the luggage was not ready for us so we had a wait to collect it. Disembarkation was good at all ports except la coruna. The port experience at Casablanca was dismal

There is an awful lot to see in Barcelona. We visited on a cruise pre COVID and the ship stayed one night in the port so we were able to take the open top bus and see many sights. We missed the cathedral because you need to book ahead so did that on this cruise. We didn't dock til midday and were sailing again at 7 so just took a taxi to the cathedral, had a tapas lunch did the visit and came back. Tips. use taxis from the ship if poss, cheaper than using the bus which you have to pay for in some cases. Buy packages before you go for drinks and speciality restaurants on board. Use the pool deck, best one I've been on. Avoid school hols, apparently our ship was going to have an extra 1600 kid on board half term week☹️, it was quite busy our trip with very few kids

I'll be the same ship and route next year. Why didn't you have enough time in Barcelona? Thanks for your review.
