Chocolate bar martini is a must!

Unpack and enjoy the ship. See every show and enjoy yourself.

It’s very nice and the prices in the shops are great and for an extra $5.00 it’s worth paying to get the armband so if you want to charge stuff in the cabin you leave your cruise card in the slot in the cabin so the power will let you charge your stuff plus bring a non surge protector power strip because you only have two US outlets and one in the bathroom.

Reserve your seat for the theater shows for the entire week.

Eat in the dining room for breakfast and lunch instead of the buffet. The buffet is extemely crowded all the time meals are being served.
amyb789
don't book excursions through the ship. horrible process.

Be very aware that there are a lot of Europeans in the cruise. Most of the time they will not even acknowledge your mere presence. Say what you want about Americans but overall I think we are ten times more courteous and aware.

Relax and just go with it’s not Royal or CCL.

Don't expect an awful lot from the evening entertainment. also some of the bars tend to be closed even though there is an event in that bar.

Make the most of all it has to offer and enjoy the ride

You'll need to pretend you're taking a cruise around Europe. 75% of the passengers don't speak English. Also, other cultures do not have a problem with just cutting in front of you or just banging into you. Your patience will get a workout. MSC seems to have made the decision to be an European cruise line in an American market.

Go with an open mind and be prepared for an immersion with multiple cultures outside of the US. Also, get the wristband ($5 with Bella) to use in place of the room key as it is much easier to keep up with and extremely convenient when entering the room, paying for purchases and more. The room key is still required for embarkation from ports, but we left it in the key slot that powers the room while we were on board.

Pace yourself when eating. It's a foodgasm, and you tend to overindulge.
Blondie62
Eat only in speciality restaurants or off the ship.
justme63
If you want to tip yourself be sure an get your gratuity’s before you get off the ship cause once your off the ship they keep your money
