MSC Seaside overview

By Cruiseline.com - Updated Mar. 9, 2020

MSC Seaside is a fully loaded megaship equipped with all the new amenities of a modern vessel. This cutting-edge Seaside-class cruise ship has two bowling lanes, three pools, a ropes course, two mammoth ziplines, and a rainforest-inspired water park with five slides, but that's not nearly all. With 20 bars, nine restaurants, and a 940-seat theater featuring Broadway-style shows, there's no shortage of nightlife, fine dining, and entertainment.

Seaside attracts families and couples alike by offering activities for travelers of all ages. There's a trendy teen club, a playgroup for toddlers, and a Junior Club for school-age kids. Seaside is also a strong choice for a romantic Caribbean cruise. The ship has an excellent variety of activities for couples, whether you book a treatment at the Aurea Spa, work out in the Technogym-equipped fitness center, or relax in one of the many outdoor areas that are designed to connect passengers with the sea and the sun. When you're ready to join the fold, visit the shopping, dining, and entertainment zone on the Waterfront Boardwalk or sip a cocktail in the atrium piano bar.

Since launching in 2017, MSC Seaside has sailed across the eastern and western Caribbean from Port Miami year-round. Seaside's 7- and 14-night Caribbean cruises visit Puerto Rico, Jamaica, the Virgin Islands, Mexico, and the Bahamas.

Not so good! by brookehutt

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Seaside

This cruise was the worst we have ever been on. The food, the overworked staff, and cleanliness were the problems that we saw on this ship. We have never seen any of these problems on any other ship. We all got colds and gastrointestinal problems which we attributed to overall lack of cleanliness in food preparation and general cleaning on the boat. On other boats you would always see crew wiping down railings and always busy cleaning open areas. Bartenders were overworked and it was hard to even order a drink. Behind bar was a mess because they were so busy trying to help customers. In the buffet they covered juice dispenser after breakfast so no juice was allowed for remainder of the day so only choices were water, coffee, or hot tea. It seemed as if cost-cutting had impacted the cruiser's experience. The rating which includes port calls should not be interpreted as a better rating for the ship and its services.

Disappointed by sherry516

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Seaside

I signed up for early dining though your website and got 9:30pm dinner time. Couldn't change it so had to do buffet every night. Poor choices because same food day after day for 7 days. Very disappointed because I have autoimmune and can't eat that late so I specifically asked for early dining and didn't get it.

Be sure to download the MSC for me app before sailing. Once on board, you will be able to look at a variety of things on your phone from this app as well as make reservations for shows, massages, etc. I found that about 75 of the cruisers were of varying dialects -- be patient, be kind.
