The only thing that I found a little disturbing was that there were a lot of small kids very late in areas where they not suppose to be like in the disco and casino and this is the first time experiencing this on a cruise. Normal rules is that small kids can't be allowed in those areas. Thank you .

The ship is gorgeous. Relaxing... by shockwave775422

Sail Date: /
The ship is gorgeous. Relaxing cruise but not a fun one. Employees are very uptight and not genuine. That actually ruined the cruise for me. Every employee acted as if you were a customer not a guest (if that makes sense). Employees rarely smiled. Nobody knew how to work their handheld computers so it took forever to place and order for food or drinks. However the drinks are very good. They have a great drink menu. I only found one place (Seaview Lounge) where the service was good and they have live music all the time. One of the worst things on the ship are the buffets. No organization. No lines. Every man woman and child for themselves. Extremely chaotic, especially on an international cruise like this where you have about 5 different cultures and customs fighting over food. All they need are queue lines and the problem would be fixed. Plates are behind you not next to the food, silverware is always in a random spot or can’t be found at all. And the food never changes. Same thing every day. The spa is very nice BUT only 3 warming tables on a ship that holds so many people. That being said they do offer a wide selection of things to do in the thermal areas, just not equipped to handle such a large ship. (The took space from the spa to add to the outdoor sun deck). For the good stuff. Music is great, and I mean great. All over the ship you have modern theme music for each specific venue. The DJs for the clubs are top notch. Even though I normally hate the annoying photographers on the cruise I had to say the ones on this cruise were fun and amazing with kids. I saw 3 crew members playing with kids before the shoot to get them in a good mood for the pictures. I got a facial in the spa. It was amazing. I also got my hair cut and they know what they are doing. Very well trained. The spa rooms are also not cramped and rather large which was a surprise from the thermal suite situation. They have a really great brunch on board. Never knew about it until the last sea day. It’s in the Butchers Cut restaurant on deck 16. It does cost extra (most expensive food item is $7) but the view and customer service is so worth it compared to the chaotic buffet. They don’t have it every day but I would check when they do when you get on board. The ship itself is amazing and beautiful. I just think they need to learn how customer service works on the American market to actually survive sailing out of the states. I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt that because the ship is so new that they have a lot to learn, but I’m guessing after the complaints they were getting (a lot) they will soon fix those. However I won’t be sailing MSC again. They advertised a ship that celebrates Miami and they delivered Paris. (Not fun just euro attitude).

Great Cruise with ship issues by amezagaj1403

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Large Group
I expected MSC to offer some compensation for the issues we had in our cabin. Which also happened to our friends in orher cabins. We think it was an issue with the sewage system.

Seaside in need of training by Mshaer

Sail Date: / Traveled As: Couple
Nicely designed ship with poor service and terrible food. The Divina was better. Had planned to sail the sister-ship Seaview next year but now don’t want it. Will do the new RCI Symphony and Celebrity Edge next December instead.

Wait, wait, wait before you book MSC. There is no way this ship or crew was ready for the Inaugural trip out of Miami.

Don't expect the best food for a cruise line and be prepared for very slow service. Give yourself 2-1/5 hours to eat dinner comfortably.
