The food was not that great. The deserts were horrible. Why not a simple chocolate cake or cheesecake. The food definitely catered to Europeans. The food was the same daily in the buffet

Unlike Carnival, you couldn’t drink around the pools. This was dumb.. pools and hot tubs closed around 9 pm nightly. That really sucked.

It definitely is different from Carnival cruises and Royal Caribbean. I'd agree about it being geared more to Europeans. Although why be like that in the biggest cruise market in the world. I'm not going to criticize your review, to me it's your view. And you're opinions may have come from a different frame of mind to me.Thank you for your review.

What is wrong with Europe? You are on holiday outside the USA enjoy food from different countries and do not stick to the large amount of plain tasting food burgers and fries. The food on MSC was clearly made of fresh ingredients and tasteful. We enjoyed it 15 days

I agree with most of what you say but they did have a big selection of food in the buffet. If you don't walk around the whole buffet you will only see the same things. But the shows and everything else was definitely catered to the Europeans. The magic show was nice but the show we went to last night was all performed in some other language. If you want to have fun while on the ship then MSC might not be for you. This is the first cruise that I've been on where we didn't even see the cruise director until the 4th day of the cruise. MSC prices are what get most people interested with the kids sail free but they will be bored out of there minds lol.

Went on Seaside 5th - 19th May. Never saw any evidence that toy can't drink around the pool. In fact we found it unusual to see people with glasses and glass bottles there. I do agree with comment about food however, we only ate once in Dinning room and the choice was very limited. The buffet was ok to start with but very repetitive. Apart from that, we had a great time, entertainment was really good all day and evening. Food wise I say Royal Caribbean, entertainment I say MSC. The ship is amazing, but I do like Royal Caribbean.
