A: I too have been having a lot of issues with the MSC app and their website. When I was on the phone yesterday with them reserving the specialty restaurants, I made note of the tech issues with the representative. She indicated that they were aware of... the app and that they were working on it, but the app works better when you’re out at sea. Also, if you’re having any issues with the website, you need to use Chrome or Edge and not Internet Explorer. Hope this helps.See More

A: shipcabins.com will show pix and info if you can't find it on MSC app. You can search for your cabin number. I could find the cabin next to mine and was pleased w more info. My balcony will be metal not plexiglass, I found out. I am on level 9 and... you are higher so it might be different. I think some are glass and others not.See More

A: You Cannot see the ocean out of a metal fence balcony when you sit on a chair in the balcony, only when u stand up. You Can see the ocean thru the Plexiglass fence. Usually you pay more for the Plexiglass balcony rooms.

Q: Has anyone experienced getting charged extra $5 in the main dining room for a 2nd entree? (I hope MSC doesn't do this, it was nice not seeing them do what other cruise lines have been doing, it's going to get to a point where it won't be worth cruising anymore. I enjoy MSC and I think the food is fine but not $5 extra fine)

A: We are on the Seaside now. It’s our first night and yes, they charge $5 for additional entrees after your first. I had the bay scallop ceviche as a starter and it was delicious! The prime rib was a very generous portion and also excellent. Only d... isappointment was they didn’t have horseradish.See More

A: I read that is true on MSC also. with rising food costs everywhere, all the cruise lines are trying something to help without raising basic cruise cost. Usually people don't need a second entry anyway. and we can always go to the buffet if we wan... t more that's free. Royal is going to start charging for Pizza I read. Princess charging for more things on board that were free. it's the tines we live in now.See More

A: Hi, we were on the Divina for 2 weeks at Xmas, the table next to us, 7 people had 2 or 3 entres everynight and they questioned it.We usually just ate our dinners and found they were plenty for us. The portions were not huge but they were suffiecent a... nd didn't leave us hungry. On 2 nights we ordered a 2nd entre but were not charged. I think because we weren't ordering alot of food and then not eating it. We did expect to be charged.See More

A: So this is $5 for additional entree? But not app, that's my understanding. Is that correct?
Answered by CaBaDavis on August 11, 2023
A: If they are doing this it is brand new policy. Was on MSC in April and no extra charge for extra dinner items—-
Answered by girlonaboat on August 9, 2023
A: On other lines it is $5 for the 3rd entree, not the 2nd! I don't believe MSC is charging this yet, but my guess is - they will!

Q: I need to work a couple days on my sailing and it’ll be my first time on an MSC ship. Can anyone tell me if they’ve had good, bad or otherwise experience with connectivity from this ship? I know some issues are related to weather and location, but I’d appreciate any general information if you’ve got it. 😌

Q: Is there a list of daily activities that can be viewed prior to the cruise date? Example would be the white party. I'm try to pack clothes accordingly for everyone. And any input on the dress code? Been doing some reading and keep finding mixed reviews.

A: that was on the 7 day cruise I was referring to. dressing up on the shorter cruises might be more casual every night.
Answered by outtoseapatty on August 16, 2023
A: I was on sister sip Meraviglia in March. People dressed up as to a nice restaurant on the dressy night. but not tuxedo ball gowns. I wire nixe black pants and a dressy sparkly top. there is a photographer those nights if you want nice quality photo... of yourself and/or family once in a lifetime. I think its a great opportunity for a quality pix in good clothes for a remembrance investment.See More

A: White party is on the last night They have a tropical night not sure about the others. I’ve noticed dressing up isn’t required. Some still do. Your first night is casual Don’t stress. No one really cares. I see all sorts. We don’t get fancy... but I wear. Like white slacks and nice top for dinner. I think the at SEA EVENING. Is the dressier time.See More

We have cruised on Royal Caribbean and Norwegian - MSC I is our fav. Not as expens... ive but you get your moneys worth. We love the private island. Ocean Cay. Go early and get a good spot. They have some shows. Plus games by the pools. Also you can do group exercise there too. It’s fool. All ages. Grab a drink at the nearby bar. Or some gelato. I think you will have a wonderful time. Best of luck 🥹🥹See More

A: You do not need a passport if you are a U.S. citizen it you are leaving a U.S. port and coming back to the same U.S. port. Unless, you are going to a country such as Costa Rica which requires you to have a passport. If you are leaving a U.S. port and... getting off the ship in a different us port or a foreign port then you need a passport.See More

Q: The Seaside recently failed its inspection by the CDC. Will the problems be taken care of or will MSC substitute this ship for another. Our cruise is slated for 5/21

A: For anyone who has ever managed food service or any business, the answer to this is easy.. when you fail a health inspection here is what happens.. first, any minor violations are corrected on site while the inspection is happening. Small things li... ke people keeping employee drinks cups bear food service areas etc. any major ones are corrected and then after the report is issued, the business has to submit a report to how they plan on correcting the issues going forward. The ship gets inspected twice a year…so in 6mo if they get inspected and fail again, they may be temp shut down while corrective actions are taken. But the first failure is just a serious warning slap on the wrist. Happens every single day in every place of business they you all go to.See More

A: They are not going to substitute the ship. They are going to get it cleaned up and people on board right now said they have already started.
Answered by Dappel on May 7, 2023
A: No one on here knows the answer to that! MSC will let you know!
