4.0
The Seaside recently failed its inspection by the CDC. Will the problems be taken care of or will MSC substitute this ship for another. Our cruise is slated for 5/21

For anyone who has ever managed food service or any business, the answer to this is easy.. when you fail a health inspection here is what happens.. first, any minor violations are corrected on site while the inspection is happening. Small things like people keeping employee drinks cups bear food service areas etc. any major ones are corrected and then after the report is issued, the business has to submit a report to how they plan on correcting the issues going forward. The ship gets inspected twice a year…so in 6mo if they get inspected and fail again, they may be temp shut down while corrective actions are taken. But the first failure is just a serious warning slap on the wrist. Happens every single day in every place of business they you all go to.

They are not going to substitute the ship. They are going to get it cleaned up and people on board right now said they have already started.
