MSC Seaside Cruise Reviews - Q&A

Has anyone experienced getting charged extra $5 in the main dining room for a 2nd entree? (I hope MSC doesn't do this, it was nice not seeing them do what other cruise lines have been doing, it's going to get to a point where it won't be worth cruising anymore. I enjoy MSC and I think the food is fine but not $5 extra fine)

We are on the Seaside now. It’s our first night and yes, they charge $5 for additional entrees after your first. I had the bay scallop ceviche as a starter and it was delicious! The prime rib was a very generous portion and also excellent. Only disappointment was they didn’t have horseradish.

I read that is true on MSC also. with rising food costs everywhere, all the cruise lines are trying something to help without raising basic cruise cost. Usually people don't need a second entry anyway. and we can always go to the buffet if we want more that's free. Royal is going to start charging for Pizza I read. Princess charging for more things on board that were free. it's the tines we live in now.

On other lines it is $5 for the 3rd entree, not the 2nd! I don't believe MSC is charging this yet, but my guess is - they will!

If they are doing this it is brand new policy. Was on MSC in April and no extra charge for extra dinner items—-

So this is $5 for additional entree? But not app, that's my understanding. Is that correct?

Hi, we were on the Divina for 2 weeks at Xmas, the table next to us, 7 people had 2 or 3 entres everynight and they questioned it.We usually just ate our dinners and found they were plenty for us. The portions were not huge but they were suffiecent and didn't leave us hungry. On 2 nights we ordered a 2nd entre but were not charged. I think because we weren't ordering alot of food and then not eating it. We did expect to be charged.
