If your not taking an excursion, your not going to like these ports. The Galveston cruises are about the Journey not the destinations.
Excursions, if you can afford them will add a lot to your liking the port. For these ports DON'T take a private excursion, stick with RCCL for your own safety.

If you want to disembark quickly, carry out your own stuff. After a full breakfast in the MDR, we were off the ship and at our home in Spring TX before 10AM.

If you want to shop at the ports, don't plan a long excursion.

Don't wait until you get on the ship to buy packages. Take advantage of the discounted packages period to the beginning of you cruise.

It's a huge ship. Get your bearings by knowing that dining areas from bottom to top in Windjammer are in the aft and Theater decks are in the forward section of the ship.

Ports too commercialized. They're just an extension of shopping onboard. Cruise liners have taken over port shopping.

Plan on spending money on the restaurants on the ship. The food in the dining halls wasn't as good as most ships including Carnival.

This was our first cruise and coming from a first timer, i highly encourage anyone who has never sailed before, to go on a cruise and try it out. Very relaxing and exciting.

The stop in Belize was disappointing. Nothing to do there at all, don't go outside the dock compound as crime in the city area is high and cruisers have been mugged / robbed. If you like to scuba or snorkel this seems to be a good stop, but nothing else here at all except a Diamonds international.

Liberty of the Seas is a pristine vessel with many amenities. The Captain is very informative and the staff happy and helpful.
One thing; if you are taking executions, take an umbrella.
