Review summary

We were disappointed and some of the reasons are the food quality has went down and we think it is because they are trying harder than ever to sell you on paying upcharge for their specialty restaurants onboard. Another huge disappointment was that they cancelled going to Grand Cayman and excuse did not hold water, about having to use dinigies or small boats to get to shore because no pier to dock at and said weather was bad, well other ships we talked with people on them said weather was great sunny no wind ect. Another problem was we only received 75.00 onboard credit and was supposed to be 125.00 and received no compensation for any of the problems mentioned above.

All cruise lines .I do mean all have gone down hill...

Food quality with every cruise line is worse than it used to be. I thought the food on Liberty was fine, but it was definitely nothing exceptional. We did have dinner at Chops and thought it was excellent, but it cost us $30 pp.

yes we did kknorr to answer your question the same day we were supposed to be in Grand Cayman and said weather was nice sunny and very little wind and i know about no pier and about the small boat issue because we have cruised to Grand Cayman many times but when other ships went there same day with no problem makes me think RCL wanted to send a message to Grand Cayman that they will use any excuse to not go there because of no pier and suspect they also want to make more money because when in port most everyone is off boat and spending money elsewhere and not on ship examples casino, bingo, drinks, speciality dining example Johnny Rockets ect, shops, pictures and various other ways on board people spend tons of money when not in port and putting around in circles at sea.

I agree that the quantity on RC has dropped off over the years. We enjoyed our food in the MDR and always found the food in the WJ to be good as well( for a buffet).

I've ported in Grand Cayman in a storm. It was not the best experience. Tender was bobbing up to 4 feet! Sightseeing in the rain is less than optimal. Should have stayed on board. Surprised they even let us off due to safety concerns.

I'm sorry we loved the food in the main dining room and the windjammer wasn't bad either. We did get tired of them pushing their speciality dining. Just shows how we all have a unique taste!

You talked to people who went to Grand Cayman the same day you were supposed to?

I think there's some truth to the first comment; but, comments show its pretty clear that food quality had previously gone down over the years along with overall costs

I don't understand your problem to be safe been to Cayman and they do anchor off shore and do use small boats. The other problems are made up we been on this ship and never had problems that you say .Sorry
