Review summary

the trip was great.  We were a little disappointed in the paid for foot. The add on restaurants were very good, especially the Italian place. did not place the money for booking with them on the account so that was frustrating.

Ship Quality

Food was left in the halls consistently all day.

Cabin / Stateroom

It was ok. It's a ship so everything is tight.

Ship tip

Plan on spending money on the restaurants on the ship. The food in the dining halls wasn't as good as most ships including Carnival.

Ports of call

We were not in anything fancy ( mind you were weren't in shorts either) but we were very comfortable in our clothes. Autocorrect spelled the Mexican food place wrong in my prior post. It is called Sabor. And all three specialties including Giovanni's was delicious!

We wore the equivalent of formal wear to Chops, as did most of the other customers, but the couple seated at the next table wore casual dress and didn't seem out of place. I can't rave enough about how much I loved Chops. Worth it just for the mushroom soup!

We are going to try them all. 38 days..but who is counting!!! :)

Chops was incredible! I heard good things about Sabor, also. Strangely, I didn't meet a single person on board who had eaten at Giovanni's. The paid restaurants are definitely superior to the free food.

That would make sense to me for MDR

MDR has formal night 2 nights. Windjammer buffet does not have formal night. I read that the dress code for the specialty restaurants was the same as MDR. Does anyone know for sure about the dress code for the specialty restaurants?

chantilly1984    8 years ago

I'm confused I assumed that formal night would be acknowledged in all restaurants excluding the buffets

Continued.. we also went to chops and we are returning there. And the Italian place yet to come. But its great if u want to have made to order quietude and obsequiese Attention away from the main dining room noise. Then that's the benefits. Also. We booked the specialty dinners on the 2 formal nights specifically so we didn't have. Bring our. Formal clothes. ( lots more room in our suitcase

We r here on the liberty right now and we got the 4 meal special package. The specialty restaurants are great!, The one on one service and attention were great. And it was very private and quiet. The dining rooms are nice but crowded loud etc. so it's a great reprieve. Seaborne is the Mexican food and it was out of this world great. Highly recommend bar b que beef crispy tacos We als

Did you eat at the other two paid for restaurants? Were they any good? We sail on December 4th and purchased the 4 meals and I am just wondering if it is worth it.
