Q: First time booking a Grand Suite, one bedroom on Liberty. What’s the protocol for tipping the Concierge? More or less.

A: The tipping depends on how much you use the concierge crew member with things you need or want that person to do for you. We tipped the wait staff a dollar per drink during happy hour and then tipped more at the end of the cruise as we had wonderful... service.See More

Q: Looking to book a Caribbean cruise towards the end of July 2025 for at least 7 nights . The itinerary that works for us is the 9 days Bermuda and Eastern Caribbean cruise on RCL’s Liberty of the Seas. From what I have read, this ship is quite dated . I would like feedback from people who have been on this ship recently re the facilities , dining and the general vibe on the ship . I will also like to know about places to see during the stop in Bermuda

A: We were on Liberty for the third time in May for a nine night sailing and absolutely enjoyed ourselves. Yes, the ship is dated in the cabins, but it doesn’t bother us. The ship is kept clean and well maintained by the fantastic crew. All the crew... we met and interacted with were wonderful. We would definitely cruise on Liberty again. Food is subjective. Most of the food we ate we enjoyed, but there were a few things we didn’t like and ordered something else. We missed Bermuda due to the weather but have been other times. We love Horseshoe Bay beach for the day if we are just there for one day. We go early before the crowds and enjoy relaxing. I take negative feedback on things with a grain of salt. Any kind of vacation is what you make of it. I make sure the little things that may go wrong don’t wreck my whole vacation. I know no vacation is perfect.See More

A: LOTS is my favorite of the aRC ships. yes, she's a little old and tired, but overall a great ship. She shows a little wear on the cabins and fixtures. But the staff is amazing, the entertainment the best iveseen on RC.
Answered by Arielle72 on August 7, 2024
A: Can't help you about the ship, but have plenty of info on Bermuda. Too much in fact, can you narrow down what your main interest is, like snorkeling/snuba, sunbathing/beachcombing, horseback riding, exploring caves (by foot or by swim), historic fort... tours, PGA level golf, food experiences, boating, wave runners, museums, local social interaction, family friendly venues, cliff diving, tours by water, marine animal interactions, shopping, etc.See More

A: Been on Her and going again in 22 days. I love the ship. A little outdated but clean and well maintained. Like all RC ships they do everything to make your cruise the best it could ever be

A: Went on LOTS in May…..very clean ship but yes was dated compared to newer ships. Only complaint we had was the new menus in MDR with the “theme nights” as we are NOT fans…..food was just ok for entirety of the cruise. We went out of NJ, missed Berm... uda because of rough seas, St Marteen, Puerta Plata and San Juan were good. Staff was amazing and we had a great time!!!!See More

Q: I’m trying to make a lunch reservation at Sabor, but it’s only showing dinner times on the app. Is it better to make an advanced reservation (even if it’s only dinner), make the reservation when I’m on the ship, or do a walk-in for the time preferred?

A: What ship are you sailing on & the date? Did they use a Travel agent or booked on their own?
Answered by Cinfalee on May 27, 2024
A: We have done an interior with a family of 4, it is tight but we barely spent anytime in the room. That being said, if you call Royal they will be able to help you and get an ocean view. Next time our family will definitely go for the ocean view or b... alconySee More

A: Find out first who the family member booked the cruise through, get the booking number and call. I think an interior with 4 sounds really tight, esp for 9 nights. You could try an upgrade and pay the difference, but it might be cheaper to get 2 adjoi... ning (connecting) interior rooms. That’s how we typically roll, much more affordable than suites and plenty of space. Plus, 2 bathrooms.See More

A: Family of 4 in an interior room will definitely be tight. If you can afford it try to get prices on at least a Jr suite or a balcony cabin
Answered by Beachcrazy on May 29, 2024
A: You will need to first find out how the family member made the booking. If done in anyway other than direct w/ one of Royal's options, then that company would be the only ones that can tell you. If done direct you can try a mock booking at Royal's we... bsite, but be sure to check the T&Cs of the current promo and the original as some have adm. fees to make changes even upgrades.See More

Q: does royal caribbean offer travel insurance? we were told it is a good idea to get it but don't see anything on the website about it

A: Yes, they do. FYI, if you take 2 or more trips per year it may better to buy Annual Trip Insurance from some place like Allianz or Travelguard. Just do an internet search for Annual Travel Insurance and you'll get some sites that will give you free q... uotes. Someone turned me onto this a few years ago, and we've saved hundreds each year.See More

A: part 1) Things to keep in mind, when packing your carry-ons... Cabin will not be ready until about 2pm, unless you have The Key program or in a suite bags must remain w/ you. Many elevators will be used to deliver checked luggage making the stairs a... more direct route around the ship. Any allowable beverages must be part of your carry-ons.See More

A: We’ve cruised RC & other ships. We’ve always carried our bags on. Never an issue

A: On the Odyssey out of Civitavecchia we weren’t able to take our bags on ourselves.
Answered by Ruby13 on January 4, 2024
A: part 2) Things to keep in mind, when packing your carry-ons... You will want anything medical, breakable, or valuable in the carry-ons as luggage gets stacked 10high to load on to the ship. Checked luggage can be delivered as late as 8p, have whateve... r you need until then in you carry-ons including dinner clothes if eating at a specialty restaurant.See More

A: In standard cabins Royal provides a lackluster 3 in 1 shower product that is best described as available by the gallon at a dollar store. Bring a good body moisturizer and hair mask if not bringing you own quality shampoo or conditioner.
Answered by maryred on December 7, 2023
A: Yes, there is a combo body wash/ shampoo in the shower. I tend to bring my own shampoo because I do not like the one that they have. but it'll do it a pinch
Answered by ncrob on December 4, 2023
A: you can bring your own shampoo if yyou want and I did that because I didn't want to use the body wash the shampoo and the conditioner on my body

A: Use the cruise planner for your specific sailing. Pick the package you want, put in your cart and go to checkout. When you go to pay, it will display the taxes and gratuities for the total cost. You can then delete if not happy with the cost.
