South America was amazing! by mommab6119

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: South America

Special kudos to the Excursion staff who work so hard to make everything perfect. Our time in Stanley was changed and shortened due to weather. Despite the last minute change just the evening before our arrival, the Excursion staff managed to accommodate almost every planned tour. AMAZING!

Good as a whole but food was too salty and not much vegetable varieties. by NevilleChang

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: South America

Food should be less salty and there should be more vegetable varieties. Vegetables should not be overcooked. Shore excursions should be less expensive

From the time we boarded to the time we left, we were treated like royalty. There was not one bad experience on this trip. It exceeded all of my expectations.

Fun cruise to Mexico! by ChrisTrojan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Mexico

Great cruise for couples to take without a ton of kids around. Drinks were excellent, and the ports were awesome. We loved Cabo the most, wished we had more time there!

Terrible food and complacent crew by jefferyt

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Mexico

Overall the ship was clean and in good shape, the room Steward was excellent but the rest of the crew was very complacent and the bartenders were unfriendly. The food service, quality and variety were terrible. Many times the hamburg grill had only one person working it (perhaps a method to minimize quantity served). We have more than a dozen cruises under our belt and this one by far had the worst food.

Great Mexican ports cruise. by PegLegPaul

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Mexico

Very comfortable and relaxing. Too much to eat (very good). Plenty of drinks available. Lots of shipboard activities and brand name vendors (with sales). Comfortable beds and plenty of elevators when you found yourself on the wrong deck!

Excellent Experience by baptistkiwis

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Very happy that our first cruise was so enjoyable and we weren't looking forward too coming home to have to cook for ourselves again. We will definitely do another cruise and stick with Princess. Already planning our next destination. So enjoyable and great memories and pictures that will last a long time. We went on this cruise to help celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and no regrets at all. Were treated very well

Princess Cruise to Alaska is a must do. by cindy58974832

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Enjoyed the Princess Cruise. Only advice is always layer your clothing and be sure and pay for a balcony room. Also did the ship's behind the scenes tour and highly recommend this on a sea day.

Good Alaska cruise by susancoss9

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

This was a very enjoyable cruise. You did not ask about the stores on board. We found much of the merchandise for sale to be "cheesy", kind of cheap appearing in spite of the prices charged. I bought a pair of binoculars that were defective and had to return them. The spa staff was excellent. MOST of the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Amazing 1st time Cruise Experience by tui72

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

We went to celebrate our 20th anniversary and we had the time of our lives!! it's like it's a 5 star hotel that follows you around to all these cities, making you feel pampered and well taken cared off. Princess cruises really did an amazing job and we definitely want to go back!

Great way to see SE Alaska! by crown953

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

First time visiting Seattle and Alaska and we could not be more pleased. My wife and I really had some wonderful experiences zip lining in Ketchikan, whale watching in Juneau and exploring Skagway and the history of the gold rush. It was a trip of a lifetime.

Low Key; Great Fun, Nice Shop and Ports by SeattleCruise

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

I would probably sail again on Princess, but they need to clean up their organization of excursions., They never should have left without us, with no announcement and no cross check. The left early! we were 15 minutes early. never should have happened

I'll do a land tour next time by dannyjfarley

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

We had a great time. Sure some things could of been better, my only advice do make your excursions ahead of time. We did the town tour and 98 show in Skagway and then looked into doing the train ride but not enough time. So if you do it Thur the cruise line they can set it up so it will work. We had a late time to do the town and show excursion which limited us.

Lousy room and location, but a lovely cruise through the inside passage of Alaska. by NanIwasaki

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

We were very disappointed in our room and its layout, and the extra price we paid to get an unobstructed view which was in fact obstructed and inaccesible. We were poorly located on the ship...on the bottom level and it was noisy because of its proximity to the water. We had a lovely time with friends and enjoyed our ports.

Wonderful, and educational by joesalemi

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

I was so busy all the time. I can't wait to get all my pictures so I can relive the many, many memories I will have. I enjoyed the staff and felt so pampered. I especially will remember our 2 waiters and the head waiter who were so accommodating and friendly.

Half ass Alaska cruise by mikesavelle

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Everyone we talked to on board was dissatisfied with the cruise in several ways, several said they would never be back, some said that since they last cruised it had gone down a lot. Some said that they thought Princess had come down to the carnival level of cruise ship. We found not one person who was even just happy with their cruise. Does not bode well for Princess in the future if they wish to maintain that superior image they have enjoyed in the past. We will try another line next year when we cruise again

Had a wonderful time and my granddaughter created many fantastic memories that she will be able to share with family and friends for many years. Plus it gave us time to fortify our relationship.

7 day Alaska Cruise by jday0622

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Family cruise to Alaska. We had fun at all ports except Victoria due to the late arrival. The dining was disappointing, especially the evening we ate at Share (don't waste your money). I had a big issue with the amount of up selling that was done, especially during the first two days: Drink packages, Three upcharge dining options, Duty free shops, wine tastings. During dinner one evening I had to fend off a gentleman selling a $25 wine tasting the next evening (twice during the same dinner).

Beautiful Alaskan Cruise by kaylalawhon1993

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Really the main thing I want to convey is my gratitude for the service from Mr. Edgar Cruz. He is the only staff member my husband and I insisted on getting a name from so we could compliment him in out cruise review. Really, this man is phenomenal.
