Review summary

Very comfortable and relaxing. Too much to eat (very good). Plenty of drinks available. Lots of shipboard activities and brand name vendors (with sales). Comfortable beds and plenty of elevators when you found yourself on the wrong deck!

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Long line to get aboard. Well organized, but slow.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Horizon buffet was always available with good food. Specialty restaurants available with great pizza and burgers. Main dining rooms with reservations and $29 pp extra had great food.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Gym well outfitted with equipment.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Osman Brother's show disappointing with lip-syncing. Magician/Mind Reader very good. Piano and singer duo was very relaxing.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Excellent room steward (R704). Wait staff was generally excellent and very responsive.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship layout logical with For and Aft passage on deck7 to get from one end to the other (inside). Most used eating at the Horizon buffet which was easy to get to and close to our stateroom. Common areas were very clean for the number of people onboard. Crew members seen cleaning at all times of the day. Life boats well maintained as witnessed as tender use in Cabo San Lucas.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Very clean, comfortable. A little bigger would be better. Good utilization of the space with furniture placement.

Ship tip

Arrive at embarkation point early and get to dining area soon after boarding to try to avoid the food line.

Ports of call

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California Did not visit port

Live in Carlsbad and drove to the pier.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

4 out of 5
Did an excursion but it was mostly a shopping trip (that I was not interested in) to the tour guides friends businesses. Time in port was not long enough to do a meaningful evaluation.

Mazatlan, Mexico

5 out of 5
Did excursion that provided history and future developments. Watched the cliff divers and saw the 11 mile boardwalk, some still under construction. Had excellent tour to local Tiquila tasting.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico Did not visit port

Time ashore too short and requires using "tenders" to get ashore (and return).

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Well organized from the ship experience and the customs experience.
