There's Magic in the Wonder by willwork4cruz

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Mexico

We took our 5 adult kids, their spouses, and kids. Our group was 19 people. Disney did a good job of keeping us together. We had two large tables for dinner and our own servers. Everyone had a great time. It is hard to compare Disney to other lines. My daughter said it is like Disneyland vs Six Flags; much of the same stuff but Disney is a cut above and somehow magical. It is way more expensive though, so you have to really want the Disney experience to justify the cost.

Very quick but fun. by Hubs63

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Mexico

We enjoyed it very much. It was a short cruise and the weather effected our ports of call. The Shows and trivia venues were a lot of fun. The ships venues and layout are different from other cruise lines. I.E. with a larger, more open atrium area, there is more seating to seat down and just relax while going in between different stores and lounges. But, on the other side, it is set up great for family friendly games and venues for your younger children.

Disney Does It, but is it Worth it? by willwork4cruz

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Mexico

I have been waiting to try Disney for the longest time. They were finally cheap enough to do it. Most Disney reviews are from Disney fanatics, and we know their reviews cannot be trusted. (If Mickey poked them in the eye with a stick, they would swear it was the greatest thing ever) I like Disney OK and have the most expensive season pass but only because of my wife. So, I hope I can give a fair opinion. We really liked it, and I certainly would pick Disney over any other line if price were not an issue. But if the price is three times the cost of others, it is not worth it. Twice the cost, maybe. That said, we have already booked another Disney cruise and are taking our kids and grandkids. So, I guess that speaks to how much we enjoyed it.

Halloween on the High Seas by bodaciousmatt

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Wonder

Traveling as a family with a small child, we choose Disney. The entertainment and food quality and themed areas/ experiences are head and shoulders above the crowd of other cruise lines.

Eventful Themed Cruise by GiggleGoddess22

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Mexico

Overall it was a pleasant cruise. It was my mum and bro’s first and my second cruise. There were many activities to do and I wasn’t able to do it all. The timing of shows and activities were very close in some cases so I ended up missing things. I made sure to get a massage but the deal was only good on embarkation day so it threw off my plans to see the Golden Mickeys and finish dinner at Tiana’s. But I did tell my server first thing so he knew I needed to get to the spa at 7pm (we had early seating at 545pm) which he super appreciated and I was able to get everything except the dessert (which he arranged for my family to take back to the room but my mum didn’t realize it and ate my beneigts). Service was impeccable, they don’t joke when people say Disney Cruiseline has the best customer service…I can see that compared to my other cruise I took in May on another cruise line.

Alaska is BEAUTIFUL!! by Metfan3105

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Disney Wonder

Alaska is a must do cruise!! It is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. Save your money and book that verandah. Also an Alaskan cruise is to see Alaska and not to enjoy the ship. I will be back but to save money I might try a cheaper cruise line. The views are the same no matter what cruise line you are on.

Ok enough. by nwindy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)

Disney is okay. If you've got a little one that you want to have a magical time, go for it. Otherwise, as an adult group, this was WAY overpriced for what we got. I just don't think it's worth the 50% up-charge over a similar Royal Caribbean cruise.

Love the ship and love the crew. We've done 2 Alaska Cruises and 2 Panama Canal Cruises and all have been fabulous. The crew couldn't do enough to make us happy.

Sail date: /
Ship: Disney Wonder

Went in 2009 for a surprise land and see trip for my girlfriend at the time (now wife) first cruise and we loved it. I liked the movie theater and the different dinner themes in different dining rooms. You don't get that on other cruise lines.
