Review summary

Cruising Disney with a teenager is the way to go!

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation was fairly organized but more like a cattle call where, after checking in, everyone sat in a large waiting room and waited for their number to be called. We may have waited for an hour a s a half or so. Once’s you walked the plank a staff member asked your party’s name and they announced you over the loud speaker as you entered the main lobby. That was cute but unnecessary.

Ship experiences

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
There was plenty to do including trivia, drawing classes and swimming. Enjoyed the adults only pool and coffee bar area as we were traveling with a teenager and not children

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was a family suite with an ocean view/balcony. There were three of us and we made due with the limited space when the couch was pulled out. It was nice to have our own balcony (that connected to family’s balcony to make it larger, especially when we went to look at the iceberg

Ship tip

Book the sled dog puppy excursion. Totally worth it if you love dogs and are the least bit interested in the Iditarod.

By day two of my Disney cruise I wanted to jump off and try to swim to the nearest Carnival ship. Thank goodness the sailing was only 4 days.
