Review summary

Traveling as a family with a small child, we choose Disney. The entertainment and food quality and themed areas/ experiences are head and shoulders above the crowd of other cruise lines.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Couldn't be smoother. Once arrived at the port, we got checked in then had to wait about 20 minutes for our boarding group (7) to be called and e were on board.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Everything from quick serve to buffet to MDR to specialty dining was on point. There was nothing that was lousy and a lot that was very good to mind blowing.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Disney is an entertainment company and they shine at having family oriented activities.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Live music and Broadway quality disney plays and other acts really shine. Plus, with the characters and theme night parties, there's never a dull moment.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Oceaneer Club and Lab are a favorite of our son. There was never a time where he protested about going and sometimes we had to delay his request to go. Secure and engaging staff with fun activities and great communication.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Can't say enough about all the cast members on board. They work so hard and so much. 3 to 4 month contracts of which they work 7 days per week.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I've never been on a ship that's kept as clean as a Disney Cruise Line ship. The older ships like the Magic and Wonder are kept up so well for being over 20 years old.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Clean and besides a slow leak in one of the bathrooms sinks and a drawer stop that was broken, everything was functioning great and it barely showed its age.

Ports of call

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

5 out of 5
Love this port, there's so much to do once you tender off the ship and arrive at the marina. There are, however, too many street vendors and you need to have a plan to avoid them. They do detract from the experience for sure.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
There was a short line to get off the ship and there were no porters available before customs. Other than that, pretty smooth and no complaints.

I agree the entertainment for kids is well above other lines but the food is just about average.
