Amenities are worth the extra $ you spend to sail Disney. Only thing it is crowded regarding any activities which I attribute to people wanting to be the 1st at everything. Most activities, photo ops, character meet & greets are repeated. Spread those out.

Get to the laundry early or very late. It gets busy and people can get aggressive. You're not restricted to one item per section on the menu.

There are laundry facilities to use on the 6th & 7th floors. The 7th floor is much larger so it doesn't get as crowded. This was so helpful especially on sea day.

Don't pay for money to go hang out on Atlantis' beach. You will spend the next day on Disney own island which is so much better

Download the App. I was easier to track the activities, character times etc. It even showed the menu's for the rest of the week. So it was possible to inform our server to have a different pizza available the next night. Dress up for Pirate and Formal night and definitely pre-purchase the photo package. And lastly remember the Placeholder for the next trip

Make sure you download the Disney Cruise Line app BEFORE getting onboard and sharing your guest number with your friends. This was the best way to stay in touch & to see events throughout the day.

Make sure you confirm the type of balcony you book....description is misleading and you could end up with something different than what was represented.

Find out about data charges from your carrier before you go!! Keep your cell phone powered off!!! I never used my cell phone except to keep it charged for emergency and when we got into port at NYC. I received notification from my carrier that the ship conveyed my data usage which cost me $190. WHAT??!!!! I have since found out that even though I signed up for the free 50GB on the ship, turned all notifications and apps off, and did not use the phone, just having it plugged in = "powered on" and it racks up charges which means taking pictures.

My advise would be to go to lunch on embarkation day although a lot of advise online says not too, it wasn't crowded and it was a great way to start the vacation and wait for your stateroom to be ready. I would also recomend going to breakfast on disembarktion day, it lets the crowds leave the ship first so you can leave at a more leasurly pace and let's you spend one last sit down meal with your wonderful servers. Otherwise don't try to do it all, just relax and enjoy!
