We were happy with all aspects of the cruise except that we did not get the room we booked and felt as through we were mislead and over charged. We would not book another Disney cruise unless they could guarantee we would not get a bait and switch on our balcony.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Embarkation was fast and easy.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food Service was great....Dejon and Bianca were spectacular!
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Pools were crowded since they were made smaller to accommodate an adults only area. Not much for kids to do if they are not enrolled in the childcare programs....could be more family activities for those that want to spend the vacation with their kids.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
good, but again not much family activities available particularly after 9m when everything shifts to adults only.
Children's Programs
Did not leave child in daycare.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All Service and Staff were great.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Ship was well maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom
1 out of 5
We booked TWO Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms with a Verandah. We booked them next to each other so we could remove the partition and my child could go from one room to the next without having to go through the hallway. We were giving a "Navigator's Verandah" which is basically a porthole balcony. You couldn't remove the partition and it was a waste of money. I felt that we were mislead and this did not allow us to use our balcony.
Ship tip
Make sure you confirm the type of balcony you book....description is misleading and you could end up with something different than what was represented.
I feel bad but someone on another cruise left there phone and someone stole it.This will be my first cruise but I even know NOT to leave anything unattended!
Per Disney Cruiselines website "On most adjoining accommodations, the partition between verandahs can be opened to create a larger balcony for sharing, with access between room". It doesn't guarantee that all will. In the future I would suggest containing the cruiseline directly or trying to find a review online of your specific stateroom so that you can see if it will meet your needs. Also, a travel agent that specializes in cruises might be able to better assist you to make sure you get the type of room you are looking for.
