It was the first time that we (6 of us) tried anytime dining. I didn’t really like it as I prefer the same waiters and table each night. We sometimes had grumpy and arrogant waiters and found the service (sometimes) lacking.

We used this bar as a meeting place for morning tea/before dinner and after the show each day. One waiter stands out who was always ready with a smile. I only know him as William......

I had only been on the Dawn/Sea and Sun princess before and really had to get used to the layout of the Diamond Princess. I only used the stairs and I didn’t like when I got to 14 you had to make your way through a passageway (which was like a wind tunnel) to get to the buffet. I thought the layout of the outside pool was much nicer on the other ships. I also missed the band every afternoon on the open deck.

If you haven’t sailed on the Diamond before it takes a bit to get used to but halfway through the cruise I loved it.
