We loved it they had plenty to do for the children we had a 7 and a 14 yeaar old nd they loved the kids programs-the food was great and they accomadated my pickey habits (no sauce cheese sause or ?) nice casino and the staff was great the show was spectacular we ahd a great time!!!!

Sailed many Celebrity ships (and other lines too). New Solstice-class ship very modern with a superb layout. Large, yet half the passengers of other large ships. Only negative was the slow service in main dining. This ship has about 5 specialty "extra charge" restaurants, and it appears that the service has gone there. Food quality is excellent everywhere, even the casual buffet. The buffet now has food "islands" so people don't line up like sheep as usual. You just go to the island or station and get what want. Gym has top quality equipment and workout space. Sauna smaller than older ships. Six whirlpools, but always seemed filled, some people camp in there rather than heeding the 20 minute rule. Entertainment at the main showroom and smaller venues is top-notch. One lounge guitar/singer (Jefferson Ang) was incredible and knew every folk/pop song ever written from 60's to current hits. There is an "ice" martini bar with a frozen top to keep your drink cold, the room TV's are large flat-screens with a huge menu of free movies. On top is a huge real grass lawn and a Corning hot glass-blowing show. Embark/Disembark was smooth and no crowd at all, unlike other lines. Celebrity really is a cut above the other big 4 we have sailed, with Holland close second.

This was a great ship for the over 55 crowd. It was aesthetically very nice, but there were limited activities. The pools and jacuzzis closed at 8 pm. There were no midnight buffets. We had 3 days at sea and by the third day we were ready to jump ship. Luckily there were free movies in the room to keep us busy (now I know why). This was one of the best rooms I've ever had...but aside from that I would not recommend this ship unless you want to sleep alot... and drift into a coma. We also had over $250 damage to luggage and items in the luggagem, and are still waiting to get a response from Celebrity!

The Solstice is absolutely gorgeous! It is brand new and sparkling clean. The Solstice is quite high tech and state of the art. From the moment we went onboard, we were greeted with friendliness and treated like royalty. Don't miss the aerial artists and the amazing entertainment, the casino, the beautiful pool decks, and amazing food! There is actually a grassy area, a basketball court, and too many wonderful features to mention. It was the best vacation we have ever experienced.

This was our tenth cruise and we think it was the BEST yet. The food was outstanding at both the buffet and dining room. Excellent Quality. Stateroom was immaculate and the stateroom attendant, Cipriano, did a wonderful job. First two nights in Dining Room was not pleasant due to our location and waiter, but we asked to be changed and everything was wonderful

Celebrity Solsctice is a beautiful artwork. The aesthetics of this vessel are absolutly stunning. Each and every cranny has been thoroughly planned and decorated to perfection. We loved this vessel. At all ports, we were the envy of all. The entire staff works extremely hard to provide a wonderful experience. Would highly recommend this ship to all.

It was a excellent cruise. Me and my wife went on it for our honeymoon and had a great time. The room we had was kind of small but you get what you pay for. I wouldn't recommend getting a room towards the front of the ship we felt a lot of movement. The service and staff were extremely nice. The lounge chairs were taken up pretty quick so you have to get out early to get a good spot if you want to be in the sun.

No. Please see commets above. The service on this ship was not up to Celebrity standards. All the repeat Celebrity cruisers said the same thing.

I thought the Celebrity Solstice was a gorgous ship..it has all the comforts of home without feeling crowded. I think the rooms were a bit small but loved the beds and tv's. I think the public spaces including dining room and bars, deck shades were fabulous. I did miss the glitzy decor like falling water and marble Roman statues..I love that gaudy stuff but it was corporate crisply contemporary..good taste.

It was very nice. We liked the Celebrity Summit better.

We just got back from cruising on the Celebrity Solstice. Very nice ship. It was our first time cruising on Celebrity and I was pleased to relax and not hear a constant stream of announcements through the day. I was just a little surprised of the lack of activities on the ship.

The Celebrity Soltice is only a few months old and you can see that when it comes to cleanliness of the ship. Spotless. Beautifl pool area and many options to layout throughout the ship. Food is on par with other cruise lines. Wish they had more options when it came to booking excursions and room for more people on the excursions they do have. My husband was VERY disappointed with the smoking policies on the ship. We actually received a letter threatening a $250 fine if they thought he was smoking on our own balcony. It's common for there to be designated areas for smoking, but it would have been nice to know the EXACT policies and the fact that there was no smoking allowed on balonies and in the casino before we booked. Because of this, my husband doesn't plan on sailing on this particular ship again. Most of the staff went above and beyond - especially in the dining areas. Not so much at some of the bars.

Except for a couple of issues with the ship's electrical system, this cruise was one of the most wonderful I have ever been on. This was my 18th cruise and, I think, my 5th on Celebrity. The food and service in the dining room were exceptional. The food for both breakfast and lunch in the buffet was excellent and quite varied. I especially liked the options of the healthy choices in the Spa Cafe. The beauty of the ship from the staterooms to the public bathrooms was gorgeous. The indoor area with the warm lap pool was glorious. The staff, in general, seemed very happy. It was a pleasure to wake up every day.

This is the most beautiful ship I have cruised (and I have logged over a dozen cruises). The Solstice is worth cruising just for its beauty and elegance. The dinners were great. We dined in Blue and the three specialty restaurants and they were high-end restauarant quality. Room service was terrible - don't order. They didn't show up once, and when they did, the food was cold and items were always missing. Guest services was good but you will always wait on hold for them. The entertainment was bad--the theater shows were really bad and the everyday activities were just ok. The hot-glass show was excellent. The spa was good, not great, but it is large and has a nice gym and definitely try the Persian Garden! We were in Aquaclass and loved the room's bathroom and shower. The pool(s) were very small and awfully crowded with people (kind of gross actually) and like all ship, good luck finding a lounge chair. The lido deck food was not good. Pizza, and grille items were good but the other food items were not great and the Lido cafe is notably small compared to other ships. It is overcrowded. For food I recommend dinner, and all the speciality restaurants including the crepe place. The lounges and bars were very nice and offered good variety. Some closed a bit early. Overall the staff was friendly and competent.

Lovely new ship with innovative ideas

Beautiful design of ship. Not too impressed with grass area as was being patched and looked sad. Do not like other dining options. Food in main dining area had wonderful presentation. Missed not having special night buffets; only had one dessert one. Pool in atrium was too cold and did not have the spa pipes like other cruise. Boarding and unboarding was extremely quick. Missed no animal towel folding which is always cute. Wished we could have been advised of rough seas ahead in order to get patches on in a more timely manner and lost a day due to sea sickness.

I would recommend this Ship to non-smokers. If your a smoker you will be very uncomfortable you are not allowed to smoke on your Stateroom balcony which we always book for this reason. The locations are Sky Lounge behind the Band -Deck 5 by the Lifeboats with no view- and Mast Bar a few tables outside (weather permitting).

My partner and I have taken many cruises on other lines, but wanted to try Celebrity. We were very impressed with the Solstice and its crew. Everything was top notch.
