Review summary

My partner and I have taken many cruises on other lines, but wanted to try Celebrity. We were very impressed with the Solstice and its crew. Everything was top notch.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food in the main dining and specialty restaurants was excellent - EXCEPT SILK HARVEST. What a disappointment. The food was not good - grizzle in the chicken and the dishes did not get cooked at hot enough temperatures. The service was very odd - too many people doing the same things. Tuscan Grille and Murano - were however OVER THE TOP! These two had great management, staff and awesome food!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Celebrity Solstice Theater events were very good. All of the rest of the activities were standard cruise ship fair.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
From top to bottom this is the best crew to date.

Ship Quality

We were on the 2nd Sailing!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The bathrooms were awesome - extra large shower with glass doors. The closet was SMALL. They had to shrink something and they did here. It was small and awkard to work out of.

Ports of call

Basseterre, St. Kitts

3 out of 5
Nothing special - we got off and did a 3 minute walking loop. No great restaurants. This also should be a very brief stop.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
The highlight of ports - shopping, beaches and scenery. We really enjoyed this port.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

1 out of 5
San Juan should never be a port. It should only be an embarkation point.

Pros: Ship, Crew, Food, Martini Bar

Cons: Ports, Median Age was Too Old
