Review summary
took this 11 day cruise on the Solstice starting on September 11, 2015. The ship is beautiful and the crew was great! Did the inside "passage" to Alaska and stopped in Vancouver, BC. The beverage "package" is a bit deceptive as they want you to all buy the "premier" upgrade and they begin to sell it to you in every restaurant, etc.. from the time you board. This "marketing" is seemly and makes the Celebrity people seem sleezy. Charging you for every beverage in one form or another is bad karma and turned us off. Until the Celebrity folks quit trying to gouge people with this "drink" package, I would recommend NO ONE buy ANY of their packages. Also, buying tours through the ship is too costly and the locals get you back to the ships in plenty of time, etc..so don't be fooled. Finally, trying to buy another cruise while on-board was very difficult as there was always a line with a big wait time...they need more help if they want people to buy another cruise. All in all, I would recommend Solstice and use Celebrity again.
