DON'T they nickel and dime you on this ship, the food is not that good, show is better but still needs work and it's over crowded. PS casino should be smoke free !!!!

Piano bar was so much fun. Serenity deck was a great hangout. Bars (especially Amari) have some really great drinks to try. Good area to get away from crowds is outside on the deck 5 promenade near lastrata grill. At night you can see the stars from the “secret” decks on the bow where there are no lights. Don’t go on this ship if you want a lot of pool time. But slides were still fun.

I would consider purchasing water , it’s a bit cheaper. We brought our own water bottles to fill. We got the 8- liter bottles for $ 20 ahead of time which works out to 2.50 a liter . If you purchase them in your room they are 4.25 a liter.

We chose this cruise because we had been on Carnival in the past, though not since 2017. Back then it it was very good. The pros: room with balcony was clean and well taken care of. The cleaning person did a good job and was very friendly, even remembered our names. The cons: The buffet food was mediocre at best. There was no bacon or lox for example. There was no omelette making station. The coffee was bitter. The only free waiter serving restaurant served small portions and the food was not very good. On our 2nd night my wife and I were seated right across from where the waiters brought back the dishes and we were practically in the walking lane of guests and personnel. I had to practically lean away as people walked by so as not to be bumped into. We asked for another table and were denied. Also we ended up leaving before dessert arrived as the wait between the main course and dessert was 15+ minutes when we gave up. I called the main desk and complained. I was told the maitre di would call. He did come to our table the next evening and apologized. It would have been nice if he offered us a free drink or something but did not. The pools are tiny, the entertainment mediocre. The only quality, genuinely respectful employees we saw were the people who took care of the rooms.

When leaving the New York Harbor, if you don't have kids, go to the Serinity Club Adult only area at the top of the ship, I think on Deck 15. It was SO beautiful leaving the New York Harbor, going past the Statue of Liberty, and only feet from hitting the bottom of the Verranzo bridge!

It is a smaller ship so don't expect a huge ship. I liked the fact that it was smaller, made it easier to get to different events on time.

Make sure to see NYC skyline, Statue of Liberty and the bridge as you leave and return to the port. It is amazing!

If you want quiet get an interior room outside of the common areas as if the ships sails out of NYC the kids run rampant. Security was present but they were outnumbered by how many new cruisers with no clue on cruise etiquette.

It is an excellent option as a destination port for anyone living in NY. The pier is in midtown and very accessible.

Download the Carnival Hub app to keep up with all the activities. I suggest using the Your Time Dinner. Use the app to check in and never have to wait.
