I was so excited that I was taking my first cruise.  I had a ball and looking for my second cruise in 2017.  I love the staff.  I have no complaints except for one....I love being in the casino BUT they should have a smoking section for the smokers.  Coming from the casino and going into cabin, you can smell the smoke from your clothing from being in the direct smoke.  Other than that....there are NO complaints.  I love being a guest on the Splendor and can't wait to sail next year with Carnival.

This was my 4th cruise with Carnival and a high chance it will be my last. The service was great as usual but the ship was a different story. The ship needs a deep cleaning everywhere, especially the rooms. There is so much the staff could do in the short time they have. There was this horrible odor in our bathroom the entire time even if no one had used it. There was dirt buildup in the corners of the room and no matter how much cleaning was done in the toilet there were always these black spots around it. The shower was close gaged the whole time so if you weren't out in 3-4minutes it would overflow and water would be everywhere in the bathroom. The food was ok not as good as in other ships. Disappointed since I always had a good experience with Carnival. 

The Carnival Splendor Cruise was very good, some of members of my group were first time cruisers and they stated they enjoyed the cruise.  Some members stated they  wished they had gone on previous cruises when they were asked to go. They did not realized how much fun cruising could be.  The only draw back were the 2 sea days back to back.  The lack of evening entertainment, such as the theater production shows, and live orchestra music, was a big disappointment.  Yes, I would recommend this cruise to others, but I would also make them aware of the evening entertainment.

on a whole really enjoyed our cruise. Loved Aruba. I think LaRomona Dominican Republic was a waste of time. Nothing at all in port and in talking to others, they didn't feel safe on excursions. 

The buffets left alot to be desired. Breakfast consisted of soupy eggs, raw bacon.  Some of the food was old.

We enjoyed our trip, but issues we experienced with plumbing and the lack of concern by management to sufficiently resolve the issue. Pools and passengers were great.

Despite the years that cruise was built it still in pretty good conditions. My roomkeeper was excellent. We keep towel designs for each night intact and we took a picture every day and at the end of trip. My serves at the Gold Pearl restaurant were also amazing. Jose (Nicaragua): Congratulations on your retirement. Johnny (Peru) excellent service. Maria and Jessibel (The Phillipines) great service and Raunak (India) was awesome on the drink services. All the guys at pool were great. The band on 3rd floor main entrance played cool music every night and there were a few regular couples that keep the floor dancing alive. The Latin trio played good music every night and pleased our request for "salsa". I can't finish this review without telling about SPA service. My massages were awesome, The trainer that imparted the seminar about Detox was excellent and the girls that did our hairs for captain night. I would definitely recommend this cruise and the trip route.

We just returned from an 8 day cruise aboard the Carnival Splendor. Overall, we enjoyed this cruise. However, comparing it to the Carnival Valor which we did the last two years I would have to say the Valor is superior. The evening entertainment on the Splendor doesn't come close to the entertainment on the Valor. The evening dining also left something to be desired. Service was really poor on more than one occasion. But my biggest complaint would be the seating available for the breakfast and lunch at the Lido buffet. That was a joke. You had to look hard to find a place to sit most days. The crew, however, was great. We couldn't have asked for a better cabin steward. All crew members were very friendly and went out of their way to help if you needed any assistance. Basically, we were spoiled by the Valor and the Splendor did not live up to the expectations that we had envisioned.

We love to cruise, but we had never tried Carnival.  We were very impressed! No problems at all.  The pizza was incredible, the dining room dinners were great as well, the rest of the buffet food was okay.  We had a couple rain episodes but the ship had a retractable roof and we continued to have fun in the pool! We got use of camp carnival for our 21 month old and the girls there showed so much care for son.  It felt comforting that he was given so much attention.

I had a great time on this cruise.  I have found that there is a night of entertainment when they look for cruisers to be part of the cast for the show that night.  I have done that now 3 different cruises and it is a lot of fun.  I enjoyed meeting cast and had apportunity to drink with them a few times during cruise.  I enjoyed the ports as well  I had not been to any of them before.  I really liked this ship as well.  The Carnival Splender has a convertible top over the Lido deck pool and party area.  It makes the events and cruise more fun knowing the weather is not going to stop any of the fun on board.

La verdad nos gusto mucho, la atención del personal sobre todo los latinos para los latinos es muy amable, aunque en general todos son amables, lo unico que creo que pueden mejorar son los postres no son tan ricos y la mayoría son tortas. Para la primera vez recomiendo habitación con ventana. El Plan de licor y wifi es muy costoso y la modalidad no es tan atractiva.

Me and my family had a great experience on the all the Islands. Carnival Splendor is a little dated. My room smelled like pee from the moment we entered the room. And there was hair all over our beds. We complained as soon we went into the room. Guest services told me its early and they probably haven't had a chance to clean the room. I said Ok. We went got lunch hung out... 4 hours later still the bathroom smelled horrible. I went back to customer service waited on a line for an hour and complained again. They said ok we will send someone. An hour later they came, they left and still the bathroom reeked of this pee smell. I tried wiping down the bathroom my self and still. We had initially asked for a King bed but when we got there it was 2 single beds. When the cleaning attendant came to clean the bathroom we asked him to switch it. He simply pushed our mattress together. This was sooo uncomfortable and pointless we were better off sleeping separately. I doubt I would travel carnival again!!! The service was horrible and every time we complained nothing was done correctly. We even tried a Spa day. Of course most of the vicinities we paid for we either unavailable or being worked on. I was soo miserable with our service at this point I just let it go and try to enjoy my vacation as too complaining was pointless and Carnival obviously does not care about customer service. At one point I slipped on water on Deck 10 and when we tried to notified them they wouldn't even acknowledge us and when my husband said we deserve a free spa they simply said this is a cruise ship be careful. I think I am better of choosing another cruise ship. The reason I gave 2 stars were for the islands.

I did not  enjoy Jamaica  at all. The locals are constantly on you for you to buy their items or just  to give them money. At one point me and my husband  almost got robbed there. A very scarey  experience. Will never return to  Jamaica  AGIAN!

I loved that was a large verity of food to choose from. I sometimes have anxiety when around a lot of people. It was calming not to feel that way for the whole cruise. The ports were all beautiful. I will be planning my next trip soon. I will be telling everyone I know.

i gave it a 2 star only because I loved the ports. The ship was full of unruly children and parents! I will stick to RCC or another line to have an enjoyable vacation.

The trip was fun-filled but need more real  activities that are not geared around selling jewelry, spa services etc.  Better supervision of Children during evening hours is needed. 

great experience but activities and shows was wack!! As my husband stated it was very pink but nice! it was clean and very relaxing! and the state room.that was choice by your CruiseLineOnly rep. was absolutelythe best ever!! she nail everything i didn't want to here.....perfect!! 

Best trip ever!! Would definitely do it again. At first I thought I would get sick and would feel uncomfortable on the ship but it was the complete opposite!! I walked around the ship with no problem!! It was an amazing trip

We had never taken a Southern Caribbean cruise and Carnival Splendor did not disappoint. The service on board from housekeeping to food service was exceptional. This was our 10th Carnival cruise and the staff was extremely friendly and very engaged in making sure we were having a great time. Having a sea day before 4 stops was nice and having 2 sea days before returning home was nothing short of fantastic. The elegant nights were on sea days which was nice so you didn't have to rush back after visiting a port and work on getting all dressed up. We enjoyed all the ports of call and our tours met all of our expectations.
