Review summary

We had never taken a Southern Caribbean cruise and Carnival Splendor did not disappoint. The service on board from housekeeping to food service was exceptional. This was our 10th Carnival cruise and the staff was extremely friendly and very engaged in making sure we were having a great time. Having a sea day before 4 stops was nice and having 2 sea days before returning home was nothing short of fantastic. The elegant nights were on sea days which was nice so you didn't have to rush back after visiting a port and work on getting all dressed up. We enjoyed all the ports of call and our tours met all of our expectations.

Great to hear that Splendor treated you well. I am taking my first cruise in honor of my late mother who unexpectedly passed away before our scheduled vacation. I hope to enjoy some R&R and meet great people. It will be tough but I am praying for some serenity.

I just saw the review before yours and it looked like this person had a horrible time. I have cruised many times on different cruise liners but most of them have been with Carnival. I have to say that I have never experienced anything that would've ruined my entire trip. My kids love it when they go! My family and I are getting on the Splendor tomorrow and we can't wait for our adventure to begin!
