Me and my family had a great experience on the all the Islands. Carnival Splendor is a little dated. My room smelled like pee from the moment we entered the room. And there was hair all over our beds. We complained as soon we went into the room. Guest services told me its early and they probably haven't had a chance to clean the room. I said Ok. We went got lunch hung out... 4 hours later still the bathroom smelled horrible. I went back to customer service waited on a line for an hour and complained again. They said ok we will send someone. An hour later they came, they left and still the bathroom reeked of this pee smell. I tried wiping down the bathroom my self and still. We had initially asked for a King bed but when we got there it was 2 single beds. When the cleaning attendant came to clean the bathroom we asked him to switch it. He simply pushed our mattress together. This was sooo uncomfortable and pointless we were better off sleeping separately. I doubt I would travel carnival again!!! The service was horrible and every time we complained nothing was done correctly. We even tried a Spa day. Of course most of the vicinities we paid for we either unavailable or being worked on. I was soo miserable with our service at this point I just let it go and try to enjoy my vacation as too complaining was pointless and Carnival obviously does not care about customer service. At one point I slipped on water on Deck 10 and when we tried to notified them they wouldn't even acknowledge us and when my husband said we deserve a free spa they simply said this is a cruise ship be careful. I think I am better of choosing another cruise ship. The reason I gave 2 stars were for the islands.
