Emma the cruise director is unique. The military gathering was great, I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Duffy and thank her for the program for military families.

Be prepared to take the stairs! They have a new elevator system where you pick the floor you’re going to and it tells you which elevator to use. The concept of it is nice but it takes to long and you end up just taking the stairs to whatever floor you’re trying to get to.

Get to the poet early to enjoy this ship. It is AMAZING! Thanks to Carnival for finally giving us a good ship for the West Coast.

Bring walkie talkies with earpieces, onsies, and book excursions ahead of time. Also go during not holiday season, it's half the price.

We book 2 excursions with carnival when booking on line. (1) 45 min boat ride to see the rock formation. Didn’t see no whales 😳 saw a few seals 😎 highly recommend this tour 👍🏻 with stay a little longer than 45 minutes 😎😎 great people on the boat. ( this was at Cabo San Lucas ) the second excursion was a shop & view of the town call Mazatlán. Again very nice tour we got to see man jumping of the cliff 😳😳 In two different locations. I have videos of both shows. The shopping is very cheap. I bought me a beautiful 10 pound dark wood turtle. The kind of wood that is not cheap in the states. Will post pictures of turtles later 👍🏻 the cathedral in town is also 👍🏻 I bought me some dessert at the Panama bakery across the cathedral. I highly recommend also😎 the tour bus lady was very friendly & so was the driver 👍🏻

One tip to all future Carnival Panorama cruisers: Use UBER whenever you can in Mexico. The price of the UBER fares is about 1/3 to 1/2 of that of a regular taxi. Use Uber/Lyft in Long Beach, CA can save you a lot of time and money also.

I know Carnival caters to kids, so we sailed in January and the ship was not overrun by kids. Weather was great also.

Don’t be in a hurry and plan to do things in advance. There are too many people on the ship and the venues are smaller. Book dining reservations in advance as well.

They don’t tell you everything you need to know, even though it’s in writing, I ended up tipping staff In cash and then was charged again for staff tips.

Download the cruise app and keep track of your spending.I was not prepared for the $100 for gratuities that was added to my bill on the last day. It made me mad that they charged my 9 year old the $100. When i asked they said everyone over the age of 2 gets charged. But why? When we go out to dinner, my 9 year old doesn't tip the waiter or tip cleaning staff when we're staying at a hotel. The extra $400 i had to pay was not what i signed up for.
