Review summary

Beautiful ship! I will do it again! Hope the ship is not so cold? Hope they change the staircase before someone gets hurt! Hope they change the electrical in room so you can charge things while out! There was nice but if it goes off and puts cabin back to freezing it serves little purpose

Embarkation

4 out of 5
A little crowded since they had a little glitch from the inaugural cruise and lots of back to backer's

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main dining rooms and buffets were great! Only tried the barbeque place for lunch! It was ok! Kind of confusing having to go all the way through the restaurant and outside to get food!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Mostly wandered around exploring!

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Mostly saw entertainers in the atrium! They were fine but TOO LOUD! Need the volume down so you can talk to the person next to you! Stage in atrium was awkward! Too high up! Entertainers need to be lower and closer to bar with volume not so obtrusive

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Waiters and bartenders were fantastic especially bartenders in atrium and alchemy bars! Don't spend much time in room so didn't see much of room stewards!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Good layout and design except glass and stainless steel staircase in atrium! Walking down was awkward and someone is going to fall! Steps either too tall or too deep! Had no problem with any other staircase! No problem walking UP that staircase! Everything new and clean!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Nice room! Clean and comfortable! Closet fine for one person would not have been room for clothing of second person! Lighting awkward bwith having to insert your key! All electricity including thermostat and plug ins go dead when nothing in the key slot! Room would be ice cold when you returned and if you were trying to charge phone or anything it didn't happen since electricity was off! Definitely a flawed system! Also for an inside room it is nice to come back to at least one light to break the darkness!br

Ship tip

Bring long underwear and sweaters! The whole ship was TOO cold

I always use an old ship card from a previous cruise.

I always put my AAA card in there and leave it

I feel bad that you didn't understand how the card in the door system works! You can use any card, some have reported using business cards and pieces of cardboard. But a defunct library card or your Jr. High student body card would have worked.

We inserted the business card of our room steward and left it there the whole 7 days

Most of the newer ships have the electrical system that only works when the key card is in the slot to save electricity. Some have said you can use a credit card or old hotel key card instead of your room card.
