Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
MDR - quality of food was consistently outstanding. Service was great for most part. Pizza was yummy! Cucina del Capitano perfect for lunch!!! Buffet was better than any other cruise with Carnival! Guys Pig & Anchor was really good for lunch!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I didnā€™t participate in the on-board activities for this trip.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The Liquid Lounge is two small. The actually had to turn people away due to lack of seating. You have to get there at least 15 minutes before show time. The chairs - some have cup holders and some donā€™t. The view is obstructed in some places. The sound & lighting are excellent. The quality of the performances is outstanding! Celestial Strings - this show was perfection Havana Bar - Latin Fever band for live music was amazing! Lighting & Sound perfect! Danced here every night.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Shout out to the Dining Room staff who was always welcoming, accommodating, pleasant. Havana Bar Staff - Catalina, Jose, Lindell and Stefanie were the BEST!!! Special shout out to Charisse for her work on the Havana Pool Ɓrea! Iā€™m so sorry if I upset you. I didnā€™t mean to. Kenny & Vincent- heads of security, thanks for being understanding and awesome at looking out for everyone Damir, Mauricio, & Nighah (Ninja) you are perfect! includes

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Staff does a fantastic job of cleaning up after everyone and goes out of their way. The Wood finishes throughout the ship contrast beautifully with the carpeted and tiled areas. Visually clean surfaces were a nice design. The design of the Library šŸ“š is stunning and cozy. The outdoor decks with all the seating options are the real key to the perfect design of this ship!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was perfect with a few exceptions: The sliding glass doors creak as the ship sways so it is hard falling asleep sometimes. The cabin doors are hard to open. The fridge didnā€™t work. The mattress being brand new was too hard and uncomfortable.

Ship tip

Donā€™t be in a hurry and plan to do things in advance. There are too many people on the ship and the venues are smaller. Book dining reservations in advance as well.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

4 out of 5
Vehicle traffic and congestion the port is a mess. They arenā€™t ready to handle such a big ship. Embarkation was a breeze but debarkation was a nightmare. Allow yourself 2 extra hours for debarkation and donā€™t be in a hurry.

Mazatlan, Mexico

5 out of 5
My favorite port! Plaza Machado is beautiful as well as the area surrounding it.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Disembarkation took a very long time. We were off the ship at 10:30 AM and didnā€™t get home until 12:30 PM and I live 30 minutes north of Port. Luckily for us we take a long time getting ready to disembark anyway and we always want to be in the last group to leave anyway.
