The physical features of the ship are fine but if you are like us and not really people who sail on Carnival you might want to stick with your regular cruise line.

I would say book in the middle of the ship for easy access to places you need to get to. We were on Empress Deck (deck 7) and used the stairs when we headed to breakfast and dinner on deck 4, when headed up to lido (deck 10). Rarely used the elevators. We also had staterooms above and below us so no early morning or late night noises. We never felt like the ship was really crowded.

Make sure your balcony is not on the 6th floor! You will deal with noise from fevk below and have no privacy.

If you sail on the Magic, we suggest you take some time on the first day to walk around the main decks so that you can get familiar with the ship's layout. This could help you in the upcoming days.

Your vacation is what you make of it. If you act like the money you spent for the cruise is any different than other people's money you should probably not go on a cruise. Be kind to the staff and the other guest make the best of what you're doing and you'll have a great vacation.

Make sure when you request a stateroom there are no children in room next to you or you would not get any rest the couple were always at each other’s throats fighting and arguing and I heard babies get hit quiet often

If you want to enjoy a hot tub book a grand suite, they come with a Jacuzzi tub and its hotter than all the public spa's.

Bring your own shampoo conditioner and soap. They offer some very generic shampoo and gel soap from pump containers in the shower only.

I really enjoyed the Italian restaurant for lunch. It’s free. And the offered a pasta bar. The choices were good and it was all delicious. They offered a lasagna for special that was unlike the lasagna offered in dining room. It was so yummy.
