The physical features of the ship are fine but if you are like us and not really people who sail on Carnival you might want to stick with your regular cruise line.

Sail with Dr. E. He is the BEST Cruise Director we have ever had.

I would say book in the middle of the ship for easy access to places you need to get to. We were on Empress Deck (deck 7) and used the stairs when we headed to breakfast and dinner on deck 4, when headed up to lido (deck 10). Rarely used the elevators. We also had staterooms above and below us so no early morning or late night noises. We never felt like the ship was really crowded.

My advice is to be prepared to have lots of fun.

Relax and enjoy. Every worker does their part to make sure your vacation is as relaxing and as fun as possible.

book your flight day before the cruise
Baucom
Make sure your balcony is not on the 6th floor! You will deal with noise from fevk below and have no privacy.

If you sail on the Magic, we suggest you take some time on the first day to walk around the main decks so that you can get familiar with the ship's layout. This could help you in the upcoming days.

You get what you pay for

Your vacation is what you make of it. If you act like the money you spent for the cruise is any different than other people's money you should probably not go on a cruise. Be kind to the staff and the other guest make the best of what you're doing and you'll have a great vacation.

More free drink options. Maybe Pinapple Juice, Grape Juice, Cranberry Juice, Apple Juice, Fruit Punch

Make sure when you request a stateroom there are no children in room next to you or you would not get any rest the couple were always at each other’s throats fighting and arguing and I heard babies get hit quiet often

If you want to enjoy a hot tub book a grand suite, they come with a Jacuzzi tub and its hotter than all the public spa's.

Explore the 5th deck early. The outdoor area through the RedFrog Pub is a nice spot

It was easy to learn you way around the ship.

Try Guys BBQ on deck 5. It is only open on sea days from 12-2.

WALK ALL OVER THE PLACE, there are many hidden gems outside of the cabin areas.

Bring your own shampoo conditioner and soap. They offer some very generic shampoo and gel soap from pump containers in the shower only.

Just book it and have a good time, great ship, excellent staff

I really enjoyed the Italian restaurant for lunch. It’s free. And the offered a pasta bar. The choices were good and it was all delicious. They offered a lasagna for special that was unlike the lasagna offered in dining room. It was so yummy.
